5.11 Tactical Men's Active Work Pants, Superior Fit, Double Reinforced, 100% Cotton, Style 74251

I had been eyeing these pants for some time before deciding on them, and glad that I finally ordered them. They have a high thread count (as opposed to xxxxxBay cargo pants) and are heavy duty yet comfortable. The relaxed fit is really relaxed, which I appreciate. The photos were taken after removing the tags, washing them and wearing them for about an hour. The only nitpick I have is that the actual khaki color of these pants is a bit darker than what appears in the product description photos (seen both on my PC monitor and smartphone). I don't think this is in an issue with my device screens not being calibrated properly. I agree with other reviewers that the side pockets aren't big enough to completely conceal a large cell phone but I can live with this. My cell phone sticks out about half an inch from the pocket. I'm really a 36 waist but decided on a 38 waist and am glad I did (again, preferring roominess).

I don't normally write product reviews, but the 5.11 Tactical Pants impressed me so much I felt compelled to spend a few minutes writing this review so that I could tell others about them. This is definitely the best pair of cargo pants I have ever owned. To begin with, the fit is absolutely perfect. The elastic waist band makes the pants fit me perfectly and comfortably. Second, the weight of the material is pretty much ideal. Other tactical pants are way too heavy for me. So heavy, they seem to restrict my movement. I know a heavy material is used for durability, but the 5.11 is super durable without being super heavy. Next, the pockets are awesome. Nice and deep. And the back pockets have a unique curve cut. Makes getting access to my wallet very easy, but protected from pick-pockets by a velcro seal. And then there is an extra band on the back. Hard to describe, I have never seen anything like it on a pant before. Its just an extra little thing on the side you can hang something from, like, a tool, perhaps a hammer. For my work, I am a mobile audio ENG Freelancer (sound engineer) and I use that thing to hang my stick mic and it works REALLY PERFECT. This was like an answer to my prayers. The pants are super comfortable and I can move in them easily, and yet they do not look baggy. They fit nice. I can't recommend these pants enough. They are now my favorite pants for work, and I plan to wear them every single day I am on the job. My life is literally better now, having purchased these pants. I never thought I would write a sentence like that.

#1. top quality construction; old school material, I believe it’s cotton canvas. sits naturally, or lays naturally on your body. #2. The snap button, internal button and zipper & elastic waist, are High quality design, I’m exactly 6 feet X 148 pounds, so I wear a 32 in the waist 34 long. fits me perfectly. #3. I had to get them “tapered” from just above the knee down to the ham, To have a more “modern & slim profile”.(not- skinny) They are kind of on the baggy side . so I had them tapered in to have a more slim or slender straight cut profile, but if you like boot cut, it’s a little wider than that.(10 stars good quality.) also, the color tone may be somewhat different than other blues.

These pants are well made and the knee pad pockets fit Blaklader pads perfectly. Smaller pads like Caterpillar swim around and often end up on the side of the knee. 5.11 also make pads for these pants allegedly, but they are not available and may or may not exist. Be prepared to wait for Blaklader if you order directly from them. These are the only cotton canvas knee pad ready pants I have been able to find in a 28 waist, outside of Carhartt 12 oz apholstery "duck cloth". These are flexible, light, fast drying, cool in hot environments, and they look good. The pocket configuration is pretty good, but different from Carhartt, bellows pockets instead of knife pockets and the hammer loop is now a strap on the right instead of left. All good, it just takes getting used to. So why 4 stars? The sizing and proportioning is a little spotty, like all clothing made in Asia. Of 6 pairs, 4 fit my waist as expected but 2 start the day quite tight. The knee pad pockets are not all the same. Again most are good but 2 are about 2 inches too high. The pads are in front of my knees while I'm standing, but when I kneel they slide up so that they are not under my knees. Knit picking I'm sure, unless you scoured the Internet looking for light canvas knee pad ready work pants, paid $50 plus $20 for pads so you can work 8 to 12 hours a day in comfort. Maybe 3 1/2 stars.

These 5.11 Tactical pants are great. They have an elastic section on each hip that makes them extremely comfortable and forgiving for those who may go up and down a pound or two during the life of the pants, which should be at least year or more of routine hard use for these pants. They are quality made, with heavy cotton canvas that has bartacking and double reinforced seats and knees. The knees area will accommodate knee pads, which is a lifesaver for anyone who does an activity that requires you to get up or down on your knees. These pants have 7 pockets are large making them easy to use for anyone with large hands. I especially like the smaller pocket, located on the front left leg, that can be used for carrying a phone or anything else that you want accessible but protected. The quality and attention to detail with these pants means that I will be buying them again when the pairs that I have start to wear out.

No hay mucho que decir en todos los sentidos es un pantalón perfecto, son mis favoritos para trabajar. Lo conseguí en promoción así que estoy feliz, fuera eso se me hace un poco caro para el precio que tiene normal pero la calidad lo respalda.
