The two jars arrived right on time. Each jar was wrapped in bubble wrap and then both of them were wrapped seven more times in bubble wrap. They arrived perfect! No chips or cracks, Just beautiful jars like the one I bought 15 years ago at a kitchen store.

Thick walls, Heat tolerant, recycled glass. Much more durable than my Mason/Ball jars.

If you’re looking for a glass container with a perfect seal, these jars are absolutely worth it. I’ve tried many cheaper alternatives, but none come close to the quality of these Bormioli Rocco jars. It’s all about the seal—and this one is exceptional. I eat a lot of fermented foods like kimchi, which, as you know, has a very strong smell. Thanks to the high-quality seal and sturdy locking mechanism, these jars keep the smell completely contained and ensure the contents are airtight in the fridge. Another feature I love is that every part of the jar can be disassembled for easy cleaning. I usually handwash the metal parts and put the glass components and rubber gaskets in the dishwasher, making cleanup super convenient. This investment was well worth it, and I highly recommend these jars to anyone who values quality and functionality.

solid, and sturdy worth the find

This is my favorite type of jar to use for my sourdough starter! Keeps it sealed nicely so the smell that may attract fruit flies, etc., doesn't get out! I love that I can see all 4 sides of it easily to track activity. Easy to clean. Great value and durability in them! This is a great size if you're doing a minimal amount or just starting out. Upgrade to one of the bigger Fido jars when you're ready for more! You won't regret it.

These jars work well and are well made. I feel that the price was higher than what I expected to pay for this kind of jar. I am using them to make CDS which has a way of causing the seals to discolor and harden so I may be replacing those seals after a few uses. All in all, nice jars that seal well for a price that seems a bit too expensive. They arrived well packaged and in great condition.

Quality, well packaged, on time

I have used the 1.5 Liter size for a number of years to store my sourdough starter but needed a smaller jar to put in my Brod & Taylor sourdough home. This jar fits perfectly. These jars are also very durable. Also I like the metal lid retainer system (which can be removed for cleaning--take pictures first--it is tricky to get back together if you don't remember exactly how it is supposed to go)

Good quality, hand washed before use but the bottom glass piece can go in the dishwasher. The metal is a bit thin/loose and easy to snap your fingers on so be careful. Would buy from in-store because these are double the price. Great choice if you can't find what you're looking for in-person.

Bought these to quick pickle various veggies and they've always turned out great. Great seal, and solid construction. Definitely would buy again.

Just what I wanted

Sto cercando il più possibile di sostituire i contenitori in plastica con quelli in vetro, e queste bocce prodotte da Bormioli sono ottime. Il meccanismo di chiusura è ben fatto, e la guarnizione in gomma permette di sigillare il contenuto all'interno, che si mantiene bene per lungo tempo. Personalmente le consiglio.
