BEST MOKA/STOVE TOP ESPRESSO MAKER
I lived in Torino, Italy last year for a few months and my Airbnb came with this stainless steel stovetop maker that made the perfect cup of coffee. Italy is known for their espresso and cappuccinos and it did not disappoint but for those days that I didn't want to take a walk to the local coffee bar or wanted a 12 oz cup of strong coffee to contemplate my morning with, the stovetop maker delivered. Even with the cheapest coffee grounds at the Supermarcato that was 2 euros for a bag, it tasted great. I recently moved where the only coffee maker around is a Keurig machine. Now I've never used a Keurig before but let me warn you.. if your a coffee lover DO NOT buy a Keurig. I was spending so much money on Kpods trial and error trying to find a brand that didn't taste like muddy water drinking 3-4 cups of awful brown liquid that doesn't deserve to be called coffee just to get my caffeine fix and still ending up at Starbucks in the afternoon with a headache. I was done after 2 weeks and I started researching for a moka pot like the one I used in Italy. Many stainless steel options on Amazon didn't seem trustworthy or wasn't what I was looking for. I knew exactly what I was looking for so it took some time and after reading countless reviews, articles and watching Youtube I finally decided on THE LONDON DRIP. To my surprise … it was almost IDENTICAL to the stovepot I used in Italy. The stainless steel was heavy and durable, was the perfect size came in a beautiful box with a manual - quality 100%. I couldn't even find one like this in the shops in Italy, most only sold aluminum pots that were double the price of this one. I use LAVAZZA Torino Rossa coffee in mine and one cup made in this stovetop makes your day. Condition it first like the instructions say and keep your eye on it. It makes coffee within minutes! Unfortunately I got a work call during a brew and burnt my pot :( I'm trying to get rid of the burnt smell but it still makes great coffee. Some people I noticed complained of a metallic smell. Yes the bottom case does have a metallic smell at first but that's because it's brand new like anything brand new it takes time to break in, and most importantly in no way did I find that the smell transfered to my coffee. Second thing I'd like to address, this is an espresso maker so a 6 cup makes 6 oz (1 cup) of strong, bold coffee. If you want a big ol' Venti sized 24 oz cup of coffee this is not for you. I also uploaded a picture of two cups of coffee I made using the same coffee grinds LAVAZZA, one made in the Keurig with a refillable/reusable Kcup on the LEFT, one made in the stovetop maker RIGHT. Look at the difference. I'm so happy with this purchase. Well done THE LONDON DRIP, well done!

Works great, truly stainless steel in all parts
I compared many models when deciding to try a Moka type coffee maker after trying out a friend's on vacation. A lot of the reviews for others mention rust ranging from after a few uses to after a few months of use. I've had and used this daily for about 5 months now and no rust in sight. It truly is all stainless steel top and bottom. I only rinse it with water to clean it, and occasionally wipe the inside of the top with a paper towel. I started off with cheap Folgers I had, then switched to better coffee. I had tried Lavazza brand instant coffee on a trip to London that the hotel provided, and loved the flavor. So I tried the Lavazza Perfetto coffee. I quickly found that this coffee pot (and I suspect most of these Moka types) has problems with very finely ground coffee. The Lavazza comes very finely ground, although it is still labeled as coffee and not Expresso. However, the coffee is too small and clogs the opening where the water/steam passes to the top, causing excess steam/pressure to build, and then force coffee into the bottom section as well. I've had a lot of steam exiting the valve on the bottom section meant specifically to release if the pressure gets too high. I ended up with not nearly as much coffee making it into the top, and much water in the bottom compartment mixed with coffee grounds. I tried several different attempts/things to rectify it - amount of coffee (less and more), making sure not to pack the coffee down, lower heat/flame on my gas stove, pre-heating the water in the microwave to the point of boiling then starting from that water. None of them solved the issue. I finally settled on using a small amount of course ground coffee (normal grind) on the bottom filter and then on the very top to keep the fine coffee from causing the top holes to plug up. This has worked, although now I don't have the complete flavor of a single coffee (the Lavazza). But it works well enough. I have also tried switching back to a normal machine drip coffee maker with the Lavazza, but using the same amount of water and coffee resulted in weak tasting coffee. So either I'd need to use a lot more coffee in the maker, or stick with this method. When it arrived, the handle wobbled a little and the lid seemed thin and sat a little kinked on the top. There's a screw to tight the handle, and I've tightened it, but the handle remains loose/wobbly. Just an irritation, not a problem. I did bend the lid slightly so it sits flush on the top. This definitely wouldn't be a good item to pack for travel - the lid would bend/break off. But daily use at home has been fine. Handle stays cool, no issues melting. I do, however, use a smaller 5th burner on my stove meant as a warming burner. I don't allow the flame to be under the handle.

A very fine pot for the price!
I got this pot because I was having trouble replacing the original Bialetti gasket. I’ve always wanted to get a stainless steel moka pot because it’s said that it’s healthier. So the bottom of this moka pot is very well made if my review was for the bottom part it would get 10 stars, that being said the upper part is a bit flimsy hollow the lid has issues it can be crooked at times, I hand wash most of these things so it won’t fall apart but I can’t let anyone else handle it, the coffee extraction is not as strong as the Bialetti but it still makes a very good and very smooth cup of coffee a bit lighter though, I only regret that I got it in the 10 cup I really meant to get the 6. Cup which I think for the size would feel sturdier. It’s a good value for the price, the bottom part has no lining and there’s no weird smell. Overall I kept it cause it’s not a bad moka pot and in case of having company over because the 10 cup is really too much.

Great taste and the pot lasts long
I've purchased three London Sip pots - all of them make delicious coffee, and this comes with the very reasonable price. One of the pots I own for many years it still looks like new - nothing fell off, it's easy to clean and it still makes great cup of coffee.

Works great, keep parts separate to dry
This moka pot spits out some delicious brew. The basket can hold a lot for its size and allows you to get a strong drink. Tank will hold a bit of water to prevent burn, so you don't have to be perfectly timed to get consistent good flavor. Nice wide/thick stainless steel base works great with any regular burner. 2 minor con, The strainer and top filters are designed in a way that retains water, so be sure to keep the parts separate and allow a long time to dry. This will prevent the issues others have with oxidation. The other is the steel is thin inside the base at the top and you have to be careful drying as its about butter knife sharp. Did not cut myself but can tell i need to be careful!

Well made, sturdy handle, lid opens easily, reasonably priced
Ordered a NEW pot. Taking two points off as received a used pot with scratches and finger prints, coffee grounds in basket, stained inner pot and rust spots inside bottom of pot. Otherwise pot is built well, no problem with lifting cover, sturdy handle. Am waiting to try a NEW pot.

We Like It
We were looking for a percolator type coffee maker that would work with our induction cooktop stove and decided to try this one based on its price, review history, and appearance. We have only had it for about a month now, but so far, it appears to be doing a very nice job. We are especially enjoying the extra rich flavor from using freshly ground coffee with this unit each morning. The capacity of the unit can only produce enough coffee to fill two mugs, but we knew that from the reviews we read before buying it. Since my wife and I each only have one cup of coffee in the morning, this is not an issue for us. Clean-up is quick and simple; to date we have only been rinsing all parts of the unit off with hot water. The only issue we came across is that there were two small black spots that appeared on one side of the interior portion of the water reservoir part of the unit after about the third week. I was able to clean them off by scrubbing with a Teflon safe scrubbing sponge and some dishwashing liquid. I believe they developed because the interior was not dried well after one rinsing and the unit was not used for a couple of days. A small amount of water was allowed to stand in the fully assembled unit over the weekend and, I suspect that the dark and wet environment along with the pH of Texas water probably had something to do with it. I will be keeping an eye on this situation and will update this review if keeping the surface dry after rinsing does not prevent it from happening again. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase based on the price we paid and its performance to date.

Excellent coffee if you don't over heat it.
I have used conventional Italian aluminium Mokka pots for many years but have found that they eventually corrode. I therefore purchased the all silver, 10 cup version of this London-sip pot. These pots look elegant, are solidly made in corrosion-resistant stainless steel and have an extra steel filter above the coffee compared to most other pots to reduce fines. Spare gaskets and filters for the pot are available. My only (minor) criticism is that the knob on the top lid provides rather an awkward grip when the pot is hot. I therefore keep the lid open to monitor the extraction. Helpful instructions are provided. It is important to follow the guidance on initial preparation of the pot to avoid a metallic taste. I find the 10 cup pot holds approximately 40 g of medium fine ground coffee, yielding approximately 370 ml of extract. To avoid bitter coffee I broadly follow the instructions provided, starting off with nearly boiling water in the lower reservoir. I prefer an electric induction hob, moving the pot aside as necessary to maintain a controlled flow of extract without sputtering. Excess extraction is prevented by cooling the lower reservoir under the tap. Mokka pots require a little getting used to. If you are unfamiliar with Mokka pots I strongly recommend looking at some of the excellent instruction videos online. At the time I purchased it, the pot represented excellent value for money. Indeed, I like this pot so much that I am about to buy it's 6 cup sibling for those occasions where I don't want quite so much caffeine. Strongly recommended.

Great product
Arrived quickly, great product! Has a wide bottom that makes it heat up faster than others, and the black handles make it easier to use when it’s hot. Don’t know about durability yet, but the coffee is great
