Reliable waterproof car top carrier
Durable, waterproof, easy installation, no impact on gas mileage, very stable and lockable. Drove from GA to NH and back, rained most of the driving trip both ways and everything inside was dry. Hung up to dry and air out with no issues! Good product and price.

It worked really well
This is a very good bag. I drove this in June from Fairbanks Alaska (I was living in Delta Junction) to Buffalo NY. I traveled 5040 miles through the Yukon and British Columbia, I went down the coast to Vancouver, and a small town near the border of Washington and past Seattle, stayed in Portland, Oregon, then came home on the I- 90 all the way from Washington State to Buffalo, NY. Because I went down the coast, I added 1000 miles to my trip. NOTHING INSIDE MY ROOFBAG got wet. Now it did rain, because I was on the road for 2 weeks. It poured some days and drizzled all day on others. Because I have a Buick Encore GX you can't put the straps through or under the rails on the top of the car, so I had to put them through the car doors. That caused the straps to wick water into my car at times. I'm still giving this 5 stars because for some reason it didn't drip on my head lol through the front straps only the back ones. Plus, if I'd had my VW Tiguan, this wouldn't have happened because the straps would have been on the outside of the car. My friend did it for me and tied it down for me, because I broke my wrist and I was unable to do it. I am a procrastinator so I drove around Buffalo with that roof bag on top of my car for 2 weeks, it was very stable. I drive fast usually 80 -90 miles/hour, which you can easily do in Montana and Wyoming. But even in mountainous, curvy British Columbia and Alaska and Whitehorse, Yukon and all over, it firmly stayed in place. I only heard whistling a few times when I didn't wrap the straps up. This is a good bag. Also no bugs got inside it and NO DIRT. Trust me when I say Alaska and the Yukon are especially dry and dusty. I still have that dirt and dust on my car! lol (by the way, I also bought stretchy screens for my back windows to keep the bugs out, which worked for the most part). I highly recommend this bag. I was a bit worried, but 5000 miles through mountains and hills and curves while I'm flying/fast driving and it performed and held up great. It's really thick! I bought the smaller bag which fit perfectly on my small SUV (the GX is slightly bigger than the regular Encore) and I was able to fit 2 small suitcases (not the tiny ones either) plus other bags in it. I stuffed that joint. Because I had a lot of stuff. I think I could have gotten those rails that go across the top of your car sideways that attach to the siderails, but I didn't want to pay for those. Oh and I have a sunroof, I used the protective mat and I haven't seen any damage or scratches to my car. Plus the sunroof works fine after all that weight that was on top of it. Probably 80-100lbs I saw a lot of these bags on the road!!

Great buy!
Great rooftop bag. Held 2 large suitcases , 2 small suitcases and a dufflebag. Freed up the space i needed inside to bring our 2 dogs with us. Traveled from Chicago to South Florida, through the smoky mountains, through heavy rain, through torrential rain in florida that the locals consider a simple shower. All luggage remained dry! I do not have a roof rack and a very curved roof top, I had no problem at all, the bag did not shift and the hardware left no scratches on my vehicle. Great buy, will get many uses from it!

Good deal in dry weather
I’ve been in the road for about a week with mine. It works great, very secure, ton of space, mine isn’t even full! If you do not have a roof rack, like I do not, you can secure it with hooks on the for frame under the seal. This works well but the seals display and in rain you will have leaks.

Look no more! This is what you need for traveling!
My husband said installation was super easy, and the carrier itself is very lightweight yet durable. We’re currently halfway through a 20 hour drive from Texas to California, and so far it has stayed securely in place and held up through a very intense severe thunderstorm (see picture & video for reference). The straps keep everything secure, and honestly the capacity impressed us. It fit perfectly on our vehicle without looking oversized or bulky, while still holding way more than we expected. Right now we have 1 XL suitcase, 2 large duffel bags, 1 medium duffel bag, 2 large thick blankets, and 3 towels packed inside with still extra room left, we just didn’t want to overdo it based on some negative reviews. I truly think success with these comes down to tightening everything properly and not overfilling it. If you’ve been debating purchasing one, take this as your sign, we definitely recommend it!

DON’T BUY THIS!
BUYER BEWARE!!! This carrier works great without a roof top rack but it did a TERRIBLE job of keeping my stuff dry. The first time I used it the carrier leaked so I duck taped where the seam came apart and I thought that would do the trick but the second time I used it it rained for 300 miles and when I got to my destination, and got everything out, everything was soaking wet. My sleeping bag was dripping wet and everything else got soaked as well. This carrier is crap and if it wasn’t nine months later, (after my second camping trip,) I would ask for a refund. You can see where it looks like a rip in the top where the wind and rain has worn it down. It won’t last even half a trip. SAVE your money and frustration and PLEASE DON’T BUY THIS!!!

Solid Buy, Solid Storage!
I thought this product was absolutely amazing and convenient for what I needed. I used it to go on a 14 Hour drive to the Smoky Mountains and it worked excellent both there and back. That means a total of a 28 Hour drive on the highway going at speeds that were greater than posted. On the way there, I did not pack it correctly as it was packed with suitcases with the wheels facing the front causing a lot of noise on the rather long drive.. on the way back after packing it correctly you did not hear a thing. It is strong durable and absolutely perfect to free of space in your car for a comfort ride. Highly recommend and would buy it again if I needed it, but hoping this will last forever. After the trip, there was absolutely zero damage on the product.
