Scholastic Success with Grammar Grade 4 Workbook

Love it, very small amount of pages but nevertheless useful.

I purchased this to teach my child fractions more thoroughly. I could see the school was not covering Grammar at all. I bought this and Grammar and Mechanics when our schools shut down during the Covid-19 Lockdown. This line of books is great. They cover a lot of material. They can work directly in it, which allows you to keep track of their progress. All these books average about 50 pages with review tests for every chapter at the end of the book. If you are looking for supplemental homework and areas where you think your child is struggling, this line of workbooks is great for After School or transitioning into Homeschooling.

Well laid out and easy to understand. Great supplement to curriculum or extra practice.

The books need pre- teaching of concepts but are a good way to practice skills because of the child friendly set up of the pages. Each skill also has a quick assessment page. Post practice of the skills in actual student writing would help.

I'm using these books in the ESL classes that I teach (as well as for tutoring) and they are perfect as extra worksheets for in-class review and for homework. I make copies of the pages that I need, as I need them, and then pass them out. I also like that each grammar topic has an assessment page so you can quiz your students on what they learned. I bought these books in grade levels 2 through 5, so I can start with the simple introductions of each grammar topic (2nd grade level) before moving into more advanced grammar usage and sentence building (5th grade level). I use these worksheets in conjunction with the Practice Makes Perfect English Grammar workbooks.

I bought several of these books due to the pandemic. I had a feeling much of what my children needed to learn was either forgotten or not learned. What can we expect from crisis learning followed by a 'summer slide?' I bought the pandemic grade and the subsequent grade. My children get 1 page/day from this and several other books from this group. I highly recommend them. It definitely brushed their skills back up without excessive neediness from me to assist (but I still have to check the work).

Despite English is not my native language, I found through this book a great way to explain to my kid easy English grammar!

It is a good book and very helpful for those students struggling in this course. Wish there was more to the np book though. Nit what I was looking for for a fourth grader to gain much from it.

I think this series is very well designed for teaching english language skills. I think that the price is also very reasonable.
