My husband had me order the DIM as he had been researching the way hormone imbalances can affect your health. Since taking the supplements he has seen a drastic improvement in the way he feels physically and emotionally. Being curious, (as I have been on Lexapro for anxiety and have recently stopped taking the medication due to weight gain) I started reading on how this could help hormone imbalance in women and wish that I would have found this supplement sooner. (I had a hysterectomy in July and feel I could have possibly avoided it with DIM) After reading more on all of the ways it can help with menstrual issues, mood, etc. I ordered some for my daughter who is a new mother experiencing the exhausted, emotional roller coaster that being a new mother can be. This is about as close as you're going to get to magic. I'm a 32 year old woman. About a year ago I suddenly started developing chronic, unmanageable acne on my jaw-line and neck and nothing topical was working. It recently had become so angry-looking and painful that I knew I had to try something different. I did a little research and discovered that acne in what is called this "U-zone" is usually contributed to hormonal imbalance. Rather than going to a dermatologist, I decided to try this first after reading reviews of various products. After taking one of these for just a couple of days, I was not developing any new acne. There is no current dosing guidelines established for DIM. Thou the average is between 100mg – 800mg. At this point it seems to be a try different levels and see what works best for you, recommended starting at a low level and increase as needed. During an in-depth analysis of DIM’s metabolic and hormonal processes, researchers found that DIM might possess significant regulatory effects on testosterone & estrogen levels, potentially increasing active testosterone while reducing harmful, un-metabolized estrogens. Unfortunately, under certain circumstances, the opposite seems to also hold true. Most research has been done on post-menopausal women. Dong Quai (Root, Angelica sinensis): Has been used for more than one thousand years as a spice, tonic, and medicine in China, Korea. Is not recommended for long term use. Is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women. May also slow blood clotting and is not recommended for those with clotting issues, taking blood thinners, or bruise easily. Some herbal supplements that can act as blood thinners: Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium), Fish oil and other omega-3 fatty acids, Garlic (Allium sativum), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), Ginseng (Panax ginseng), Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Chinese skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis), Turmeric (Curcuma longa). Peperine, an active component in Black pepper) is a molecule that does not do much on its own but can inhibit enzymes that would attack other molecules. Due to this, it is ingested alongside some supplements to increase their absorption rates. Consult with a doctor before use as any other medications maybe absorbed more readily. Side note the thermal seal on the top popped open a little easier then I liked, but the external cap seal was fine.

I just ordered my 3rd bottle of this. I originally ordered this as I read that DIM can help reduce ovarian cysts. I have a history of cysts and felt like I was developing another. Since taking this, I have not had any signs or symptoms to indicate I have a cyst. An added benefit is that my skin has been clear from hormonal breakouts. I would normally have small breakouts on my face once a month, but this has all but erased those. I also do not have the painful cramps I was having. One thing I did notice is that it seems to have slightly shortened my cycle time. I am okay with this, but some may not be. I did try a 100mg dosage and found that it did not have the same effect at this one. I take one a day right before bed.
