These work perfectly for a tummy tuck scar if you alter them a bit and prep your skin properly!
The trick to these things is knowing how to use them properly. It took me two whole sheets to figure it out. I used these for a long tummy tuck scar on my lower abdomen. At first I followed the directions and used an entire rectangle. The bandage did not stay on long and started peeling off around edges like other people said in their reviews. The first round lasted about 3 days. I thought, “Wow! That’s expensive and doesn’t last long but maybe if I alter how I’m using them and prep my skin more aggressively they’ll stay on longer.” So I did, and then they worked perfectly! I’m starting my 6th week of treatment and boy am I glad I stuck with it because my tt scar looks amazing! (Side note, I also used the little square embrace bandages for my new belly button which was starting to scar slightly around edges) So this is what I did to make it work for me. First I clean the area in the shower with straight up soap and water and rub with a wash cloth gently. Then when I get out of shower I don’t touch any lotions or oils and immediately use a thin, baby wash cloth and rubbing alcohol to clean the area where the bandage will go. Then I pluck any hairs I see that the silicon bandage may go over. Then I use rubbing alcohol again all over and even my hands before handling the bandages. I clean a pair of sharp scissors with the rubbing alcohol as well and use the scissors to then cut the large bandages in half lengthwise. I stand up straight and let my belly be relaxed. Next, I peel off one half and put on the middle part of my scar first, pulling it taught but not too much. Once I have it where I want I press down with my hand and rub along the strip and apply pressure all over it till it has completely adhered to my skin. Then I do it again on one side, overlapping slightly. Lastly, I cut another strip in half and only use one half to complete the coverage on the other side of my scar. So you’ll end up with two, 10 day treatments in one box for one very long tummy tuck scar. This process works so well I think the silicon bandages would actually stay on a lot longer than 10 days but I always peel them off on day 10 and let my skin breath for 12 to 24 hours. I also moisturize the area during that time as well. So basically these things are awesome if you figure out how to use them right! I guess it might be different for people with other types of scars but it worked for me and my tt scar! Good luck!

Do not recommend!
Followed instructions for my c-section scar (3 weeks post-op) and the silicone strip seemed to be affixed well with no issue for the first 2-3 days and then I noticed some redness of my incision after it was in place for 5 days (packaging recommends to stay on for 10 days!) and while it was still adhered around some of the edges (and very challenging and painful to remove), the strip had lifted in the middle and moisture got trapped around my incision. Due to the nature of a c-section incision and sensory nerves being affected, I didn’t notice / feel any issue and not sure how long it had been like this. The risk of infection and worsening of the appearance of the incision is not worth it. Huge waste of money and terrified that my incision may be infected… still observing.

4 days at the beach without any problems of coming off!
I was reluctant to purchase this because of the reviews however with my doctors recommendation I went through with the purchase. I’m not sure why everyone is having such a problem with them not staying on. I followed the exact instructions and went to the embrace website to watch the “how to” video as well just to make sure I did it right. I only ordered one box (the 30 day supply) just to make sure I didn’t have problems with the item not sticking or allergies to it, etc. My husband applied all 3 of the sheets for me, I had surgery and needed all of them at once. We actually went on vacation day 6 of the first treatment and after 4 days of the beach, pool and hot tub I thought for sure they would need to be replaced before we got home. They stayed in place and I ended up wearing them for 11 days total before switching them out. I’m on my second 10 day application and after my follow up this AM my surgeon said I was healing exceptionally well and my scars look amazing compared to hundreds of “before/after photos” of other patients at this stage in my process so I will continue to use these! I did forget to take photos before starting the first 10 days of Embrace but I took photos prior to the 2nd round so I will update this review every 10 days with photos. This is an expensive product but my thought process was if I was willing to spend 10k on surgery I needed to give the same amount of effort on my new scars. All in all using this product for 8 weeks is only 1/4 of the cost that I was quoted for treatment of the scar at my one year mark. I would recommend doing the math, research and talking to your surgeon to figure out what the best option is for you financially. Hope this helps

Excellent results, terrible applicator system
The product works unquestionably well when used correctly. However the application process is terrible. It would be improved 100% with simple double sided tape a la tegaderm. 3 of the 4 strips we've used didn't open properly and I had to apply it manually. Only the first worked properly (perfectly) It is far too expensive to have to deal with such issues. Meaning, if it gets screwed up during application, there is no second chance to use any of that strip. Still no one can argue the final results are amazing. The scar looks amazing.

Very questionable
I had a heart opration and have 21-22 cm (8,5 inch) vertical scar on my chest (covering chestbone area and little bit below). It was logical for me to apply two 4,7" sheets since the biggest one available is anyway too small. So, I think there were enough feebbacks that user manual is not that clear when you do it first time ...And even if you are aware of what you do, you do it 80% without seeing what and how it goes due to carton applicator. As I mentioned above I applied two sheets and the second one, which covered lowest part of the scar, was layed on soft part of my body (below chestbone). And when I lean forward with my torso while sitting or standing, the patch is bent. As a normal humanbeing I do it several times during the day. In the end, the second part of the patch came off on the second day. And I cannot use it second time. I washed it carefully to apply again and...it is useless. Photos show that adhesion is very bad. Glue (or whatever) is damaged. It seems that it is not waterproof at all. How to wear it 10 days on chest and take shower? Looks like they are not reusable at all even if damaged littl bit. Is it still effective if not properly isolated from the environment? That is the question. There is nothing in the manual how to use pacthes correctly if you do that on moving part of the body (subjected to constant flexion and extension). I cannot currenly give more than 2 stars since the main benefit (up to 10 days of use) is very questionable. P.S. Parcel arrived in very bad condition as well.

Used this after surgery. It helps minimize scars and keep the damaged area protected.

Scam product, description nor directions accurate and product does not work!
I am so disappointed by this product, I can’t even begin to express my frustration with it. Update 2- this product creates a Septh-pool of bacteria! It is a breeding ground for bacteria to thrive in. I’m including updated pictures showing sweat that was pooling inside the adhesive! There is NO way this product is safe, I don’t care if my incision is “closed” it’s still a surgical site incision that does NOT need the only barrier (skin) to break down due to infections brought on by this piece of crap product! (Now it’s not allowing me to upload photos taken) 😡 The Written Directions are not accurate, so you have to watch a video on application process. Which is a nightmare. Then they still DONT stay on , its a scam product! Plus false advertisement- description states a 30 day supply, that is inaccurate as well, it’s only 10 days! The whole thing is a lie. Save your money, buy a different product- not this one!

Effective product, easy application
This product works as promised. It is easy to apply as advertised. It flattened out my fresh, lumpy shoulder surgery scar nicely after only 6 days! The scar was also slightly less red. If I had been able to utilize the full course of 30 days, it likely would have been even more beneficial. I could only wear it for 6 days because I had an allergic reaction to the adhesive. Previous to this I developed an allergy to rock tape and some bandaids, so my skin’s response was not unexpected. My doctor told me try it and see: it was helpful regardless of my allergic reaction. If you are not sensitive to surgical adhesive, I recommend the product, because it is effective.

Arrived in perfect condition, very fast and was a great price!
I found the pads a bit hard to place as you cannot see where you are placing them before they are on and you u can’t move them. There is a black line guide but as with my scar it is not in a straight line. They stick very well, and are super comfortable. Just started using them so will have to check back and review the outcome in three months

Something wrong with this batch
Terrible. Have used before and not had any problems, but this one fell off in one day.

Poor quality and does not work
I followed the instructions including the use of using alcohol swabs pre application to remove any oils off the skin. This product not only started peeling off almost immediately, but also started to give me a rash. The product was in the garbage on day 3. The sellers response was since the box was opened there were no refunds. Don’t waste your money!!
