Questionable functionality
As richardrx4 outlined quite well - the USB power of these units requires a connection to a PC/Mac or any other DATA activated USB port to work.I have personally tried at least 11 different USB power adapters in vain + also tried a couple of Active USB hubs (the ones with external power supply). So far, the only success has been with a PC USB port on one side and my Android media player USB port on the other side.It is worth mentioning also that the ping between the two ends of a 10 meter BNC cable resembles a lot the result of a Powerline ping! I have done the Internet speed test from the same PC over BNC and over Powerline and the results are attached. So, bottom line is - even if one manages to find an independent USB power adapter that would power those devices - the end result might well compare to the result of the less hassle Powerline solution.UPDATE: As richardrx4 pointed out, the option with the 12V power supplies would not work either, as those power supplies are intended for the US 110V power network and would most certainly blow up if connected to the European 240V power grid.On other hand, I have seen in some forums that people have taken the liberty to buy the option with power adapters, just for the sake of cutting the wire with the barrel connector, which later would solder to a proper 240V-12V power supply, thus bypassing the 110V limitation. This might be an idea.

UK review so power problems
Firstly I have to say that I don't know if these perform or not, as getting them working in the UK is a problem - note all other reviews are from Canada. First the ones I ordered with USB cables for power - these only power up the units if there is a data signal on the usb data pins eg plugged into a computer or maybe games consol. Just plugging into a USB socket doesnt trigger the units to power on. Secondly, the alternative 12v socket uses a fairly rare barrel plug with a core pin, unlike any I've seen supplied with mains adapters, I failed to find a suitable one online anywhere. Thirdly, don't order the "with power supplies" option as they are 120v AC adapters only which won't work in the UK, likely blow up. So in conclusion these may work great if you manage to power them up, but be aware that may not be easy...

This is a Fantastic MoCA Wifi Magic!
I did not know what MoCA meant 4 weeks ago, even though I saw it in my Modem Security Controls from time to time. I came across a Video about Networks by ByPassing your ISP. The Video inferred a MoCA Setup would possibly work. I used the Deca Coax because they were designed to work with Internet TV& Broadband etc. I Split my Internet Cable, one going into my Regular ISP Modem and the Other bypassing the Modem and going directly into the Deca Coax and connecting to the WAN Port on a 2nd Wifi6 Router. It worked! I have LAN and Wireless connectivity, very easy, very satisfied!

amazingly effective and inexpensive solution for a Telus TV box
Saw another review stating that the " DIRECTV Broadband DECA Ethernet to Coax Adapter" worked for their Telus box, so thought I would give it a try. Our upstairs TV is simply too far from the low voltage panel and router location to get a strong signal, and my only wired option available was coax. Previously, the box was suffering from drop outs constantly in audio, and occasional freezing video, and this has completely solved that. I am using a regular HD box, not 4K, so can't speak to if it would keep up with needed data rate for that, but for regualr HD we are having zero drops in signal. This was plug and play out of the box; no tweaking needed. For Telus folks, the ethernet needs to be plugged directly into your Telus router, not into a 3rd party mesh (if you have that). I'm super happy that I can now turn off my Telus wifi and use my much more solid mesh system, with one less thing to interfere with the mesh signal.

Works like a champ! Just use the included 12VDC power supplies.
Plug-n-Play, unless (like me) you decide to use your own 5VDC supplies. Easy fix? Piece of cake! Just use the 12VDC supplies that came "in-the-box." If you,re a LAN user, or LAN capable, and have coaxial cable (preferably RG-6, although good quality RG-59 will do) already available, then this route is a no-brainer AND it beats WiFi all hollow. I stuck an old Netgear GigaBit switch on the distal adapter and effectively extended the Ethernet port of my router to the end of my coax!I think 100Mb/s is a minimum. Even after pouring converted Ethernet through a 50' RG-6 link, I saw a peak, download through-put of 158 Mb/s while streaming. Granted, this was a PEAK event but it showed that the Direct TV system is quite capable of streaming 4K video reception. The upload handshake was only 47 Mb/s so I am not sure how well games-playing will go.I am not a games player, and I did check the rock-solid integrity of my 9 year old RG-6 installation ahead of time so, aside from my experience with amazing 4K Internet streaming, "your mileage may vary."I am more than satisfied with the quality, ease of assembly, and performance of this fractionally priced alternative to stringing CAT-5e cable where an existing coaxial cable installation resides. Yes, there are no instructions but to paraphrase a "posse" spokesman in Treasure of Sierra Madre; Instructions? We don't need no stinking instructions!

Convertidor coaxial a Ethernet

Coax Kabel war unbenutzt, also alles direkt angeschlossen.
