These banana plugs are well designed and the materials are of good quality. The two set screws securing the speaker wire insure excellent contact and a firm grip to keep the wire from coming loose. The plugs fit tightly the wire terminals of both speaker and amplifier terminals. The ease of connecting the wires is far superior to that of plugs requiring you to spread the strands of wire over the top of the connector and then screwing the plug insert over the splayed wires. I also feel that it provides better contact and more securely holds the wire. I used 12 gauge wire and it seemed that they could be used with at least 10 gauge without any difficulty. A good solid, economical solution for connecting speaker wire.

I bought these plugs because of the relatively low price for 6 pairs of jacks. I did not have high expectations for their quality. However, after using these to wire my surround-sound speakers, I was extremely impressed with the quality and design. Most significantly, each jack has two separate set screws for binding the speaker wire. I have seen much more expensive jacks that have only one set screw, and these are typically not adequate to make a good connection. It was very quick and easy to terminate my 14 AWG speaker wire with these jacks, and the resulting connections seem very sound both electrically and mechanically. The jacks are color-coded red and black for easy identification, and fit snugly into the connector. I have honestly never seen a nicer set of banana jacks at any price. I would highly recommend these for any application.

These banana plugs are well designed, with two set screws to tighten against the wire. They are easy to assemble. The plug springs were a little tight (better than loose!) in my application, so I compressed them slightly with pliers. They have a good, snug fit. These plugs are not as good as some more robust audiophile grade ones I have, but they seem to work fine for hooking up speaker wire if you want to use banana plugs for that.

These banana plugs are well designed and very well built, especially for the price! The build quality is excellent! I really like how they work. It's just a banana plug. How can that be? The wire is inserted from the rear, of course, and is held in place by two set screws. Fine enough. The part that I really like is that the cover, or grip, is inserted from the FRONT and threads into place. That makes for a very nice mechanical and electrical connection. More expensive connectors work this way but even most those do not do not have the quality fit and finish as these relatively inexpensive connectors have. Note that the entire connector is metal. The barrel, or handle, is not insulated so care must be taken when handling them. Common sense dictates that they should not be handled when the circuit is live in order to prevent accidental contact between two live conductors. For heavens sake, just turn the power off when you are making connections. It's not hard to do. Your amplifier will thank you.

First time I've used "modern" banana plugs to make up some cables. new speakers and amplifier came with connector that accept either wires or banana plugs. I'm sick of sticking wires into little holes to make connections so decided to splurge and use these. Relatively easy to make up cables as no soldering is necessary. The last banana plugs I installed decades ago either had one somewhat clunky round headed screws to fasten the wires, or required soldering. These have tow set screws that hold the wire in place, and hold securely, and the covers slide on from the pin side and screw on, so you don't even have to remember to slip the cover on the wire before attaching the plug to the wire. All make great solid connections. Kind of wish I had ordered more of them. This set of 12 = 6 pair, used up 8 of them on a set of speaker cables and have 4 left. Now I see I have many audio devices that use the "wire into the hole" plan to connect that will also accept these handy connectors. I'll be switching everything over soon enough! For the few bucks they cost, the reliability, convenience and secure connections are well worth it!

I've purchased so many different types of cheap banana plugs and so far these are my favorite. They accept a decent size gauge wire, I'm using either 12 or 14 awg with most of them and they work great. Love that they have two set screws to hold the wire. You do need pretty small flat head screwdriver, not a quite a jewelers screw driver, but something not as big as a normal screwdriver. But the wire is held it nice and tight once they are tightened. The banana plug size is perfect too, everything I've plugged them into, they fit nice and tight, from speaker binding posts to amplifiers. They do seem a little long, but it may depend on what you're plugging them into. But they won't sit flush, and stick out a bit. It doesn't appear to be a mechanical issue, just may be cosmetic, as it would look nice if they sat in deeper or were shallower. Either way, they work. The black and red markings are nice too which helps you keep the polarity in check. Friends don't let friends wire their speakers out of phase! Buy these if you need 'em, you won't be disappointed.

Compré estos correctores plátano para un AVR 1610 Harman. Me gustaron mucho, son de buena calidad y materiales. Al principio intenté conectarlo a la entrada y no podía. Pensé que había comprado unos equivocados, hasta que leí varios comentarios acá, que también habían batallado la primera vez. Y con un poco más de fuerza entraron bien, sin dañar la conexión. Los recomiendo bastante.

Received the items, as described, all perfect and no issues. The double securing screws on each plug are ingenous and provide a tight connection to the wire also make sure to acquire a miniature flat head screwdriver to work them. Jackets are color-coded (RED-BLACK) for a hassle-free connection. Be warned, but don't panic, the fit is very snug in the terminals, just work them in slowly. I think that's a good thing because you know they'll be solidly connected and won't get accidentally pulled out anytime soon. I wired mines for my audio setup on Monster XP Cable 16 GA. to my Mission and Kef speakers and after testing, from bare wire vs banana plugged, the sound quality is really astounding in the latter. IMHO, I see no use in buying "wallet squeezing" plugs unless you really feel the need to. The WGGE WG-009 plugs here represent an overall significant value for the money and show solid build quality. I would give them six stars but there isn't such an option. I definitely do recommend these for a clean setup, you can't go wrong.
