Tea. It seems it could be more sturdy. Not well made. IMO

Great Balls!
The clasps are a little fidgety, but they didn't take more than one use to get accustomed to. Don't use with finely ground tea or spices. Anything smaller than peppercorns will escape. Wrap fine-ground spices with a little cheesecloth & twine instead, then put in the ball for easy no-burn retrieval. No staining even after a year of weekend usages, no broken bits or rust either! I ended up buying the 3.5" ones to use for bigger mugs, and I'd buy the 2.1" ones for next time instead, because they get stuck even in my mega-mugs. It gives me more room to fill the ball half-way for soups & stews, though!

Pretty Good
I purchased the large size in order to use as a holder for an egg in boiling water. The egg fit, the egg did not bounce around on the bottom of the pot. It was pretty good. I had a small problem opening it but overall very happy it worked as I had hoped. The pictures are one just after submerging the egg and one at rolling boiling.

Not well packaged

poor quality, both have broken after 3 months
I bought this pair of tea balls three months ago, and now the chain on both of them have broken. Generally speaking they were flimsy and the metal is thin, but I will say that while the chain was intact they worked pretty well, since it closed pretty tightly with only fine tea particles escaping. But I can't get past the fact that I've never had a tea ball last less than about a year and a half.

large enough for small parts, but not to large. good for ultrasonic cleaner or dishwasher
great for putting in small parts to washer in a sonic cleaner. Would also be good to put small parts to wash in the dishwasher. I use it to clean carbureter parts

Good for Hops addition in beer brew.
I use these for adding the Hops to my home brew. They work perfect for that purpose.
