WITHINGS BeamO - Contactless Smart Thermometer, ECG Monitor, Stethoscope

The ECG and thermometer work well, but the stethoscope feature — one of the main selling points — is deeply disappointing. No matter what I tried: silent room, bare skin, holding completely still, holding my breath — I kept getting the "environment too noisy" error. When I did manage to get a recording, the audio was full of static and interference. This is not a user error. A quick search shows this is a widespread, well-documented issue with the BeamO's stethoscope. The plastic chassis is extremely sensitive to any friction, making it nearly impossible to get a clean recording without a second person helping hold the device. For the price, this feels like false advertising. The stethoscope is marketed as a core feature, but in practice it barely works. If you're buying this specifically for heart/lung sounds, look elsewhere.

do not waste your money, if by chance it works, good for you. if it fails you are out of luck, there are no humans who stand by this failed device. and $2704 is a lot of money to spend on a maybe it works or maybe it fails device.

Not fully FDA Approved in USA so the following functions are not available and not clear that they are not available in the USA: Atrial Fibrillation detection and SPO2 monitoring. I also had allot of problems with the electronic stethoscope as it would constantly come up with "noise detected" errors which the Withings Technical Support could not resolve. At the time Withings ONLY had chat and email technical support and you could not talk to a live agent. I wound up returning this item with the hopes that eventually it is fully FDA approved in the USA. FYI Withings now sells this direct from their website for $209 as of 3/31/2026.

An expensive toy that does nothing of value. Perhaps at best a good digital thermometer

So bad, we threw away our Withing scale and bpm. No exaggeration. Let me explain why. In order to use the features of the Beamo you are required to: A Withings account Device must be connected to wifi A Withings monthly subscription You have to get the device approved by a doctor The bait, switch and false advertising is so awful we will never use a Withings product again. The coercion to get you to subscribe to their monthly plan has made us decide we can't trust them and have exported all our old data out and closed our account. When we returned it at the store we got it, the clerk said every single one they have sold has been returned with prejudice. It's also made of cheap plastic and the setup is beyond cumbersome. Such a waste of time and money. Never withings anything ever again.

Bought one, came with a blown out battery I'm guessing from being shelved for a long time. I cleaned it and put fresh batteries. It won't show up in the app. It just vibrates for 2 seconds stop for 3 and go over again, indefinitely. Definitely, save up your money and skip it. Not recommended this was just hype.

Always been a fan of these products. Easy to use, and informative. This is a HUGE improvement over the older version of thermometer. Much more functionality.

Handig als in 1 apparaat. Stehoscoop is leuk maar voor een leek kun je niet veel met de geluiden. Waarschijnlijk wel leuk als je zwanger bent om naar de geluiden in je buik te luisteren.

Der WITHINGS BeamO begeistert mich auf ganzer Linie. Die Kombination mehrerer Messfunktionen in einem kompakten Gerät ist beeindruckend und macht Gesundheitskontrollen im Alltag unglaublich einfach. Das Gerät wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet, ist intuitiv zu bedienen und liefert schnell nachvollziehbare Ergebnisse. Besonders überzeugt hat mich, wie unkompliziert sich verschiedene Werte erfassen lassen – ohne umständliche Handgriffe oder technische Hürden. Die Verbindung mit der App funktioniert zuverlässig und die Auswertungen sind übersichtlich dargestellt. Dadurch bekommt man einen guten Überblick über die eigene Gesundheit. Gerade für Familien oder Menschen, die ihre Gesundheitsdaten regelmäßig im Blick behalten möchten, ist BeamO aus meiner Sicht ein echter Fortschritt. Man merkt, dass hier moderne Technik sinnvoll eingesetzt wurde – praktisch, durchdacht und alltagstauglich. Für mich eine klare Empfehlung und ein spannender Blick darauf, wie Gesundheitsvorsorge künftig aussehen kann.
