Refund was not fair
This scanner is no different from the HP Office Jet Pro printers. As I was looking for a better scanner, I came across something like the HP ProJet 7000 paper feed. The 7000 was a wonderful scanner with very good software; it scanned pencil and could make it look like a pen, dark and wonderful to read. I am very upset that I did not get a full refund. I did not worry about the $39.00 for shipping back . Yes, this store took 20% senting it back. a refund of $1,162.61 I paid $1,286.07 with Tax I paid $1,453.26 - $1,162.61= $290.65 is a lot to loose

Don't Buy
HP software won't load and gave an error message that requires a software techie to attempt to fix. HP support is non-existent and actually the AI system hung up on me twice. The HP chat didn't support the product. HP says my warranty has expired, even though I purchased this product 5 days ago. Otherwise, I'm totally satisfied that it looks pretty on my desk.

I regret buying this.
I have had an impossible time getting this scanner connected and keeping it connected to my computer. When I do get it connected, its scan quality is poorer than my much older HP printer/scanner, even though the new scanner's DPI quality is supposedly much more robust. I've tried to fine-tune the quality, but I can't keep the scanner connected long enough to make it work properly. Though I may still troubleshoot it someday, I greatly regret buying this.
