KastKing Spartacus II Spinning Fishing Reels for Saltwater & Freshwater

I picked this reel up to pair with my KastKing Spartacus Passage travel rod (which I received through Vine), and the combo works really well together.At this point, I’ve tried a few KastKing products, and I’ve been consistently impressed — this reel continues that trend.The drag system stands out right away. Really love this reel such a nice setup. Great price for a great reel. Has great drag and it's super smooth. I can cast my 8lb braid about 80 yards easy. Really recommend this spinning reel

Update 6/2024: love this reel! Went fishing from the river bank and this thing casts a mile. Smooth as silk, not a tangle one. Used 12lb Rncl braided line and this thing just sails. I was using spinner bait and switched to a 4oz lure and it still sailed. Love, love, love this reel. Paired with the Kastling Spartacus II pole, excellent action and makes for a perfect pairing!Okie dokie, after unboxing I thought I was going to return it because the bail was really tight and sort of got stuck or wanted to hang. I decided to give it a go anyway and stuck it on a 6ft6in rod, loaded it with 10 lb braided line with about a 10ft flourocarbon leader, also 10lb, and this thing cast a mile.It is smooth, silent as can be, and the bail isn't that bad afterall. clicks over pretty easy once on the rod and all loaded.I took it kayak fishing and tried it with several different lures. Even a light weight rooster tail seemed to fly a mile- even in the wind.I ended up letting my kid fish with it most of the day and she didn't have any issues with it even though it was her first time kayak fishing. The kid loved the reel, loved casting with it, decided I no longer needed it or the rod, and has now adopted it and given it a name.Sorry KastKing, but the Spartacus II is now known as...the Green Goblin.UPDATE: I bought a second one of these, loaded it with 12lb RUNCL Merced braid and it still casts a mile. Super smooth and super quiet. I added this one to a KastKing Spartacus II Fishing Rod (super amazing rod- you can see my review on that one) and the combo just looks and performs fantastic. The kid saw the combo and decided to rename it to, " The Green Arrow".

This is a fantastic reel! Smooth casting, easy to use.Two issues I've had with it so far (~30 hours use):1. The bevel where the bail meets the line roller has a small gap where line has gotten caught, and because the edge is sharp, the line gets cut if you reel in another revolution before noticing. I've had the line get cut 3 times, I just plan on putting some UV resin over the gap and it'll be a issue (see picture)2. The Bail only snaps up in certain spots of the revolution, otherwise you can't snap it up to let line out. I don't know if this corresponds to the position the handle is in, but I haven't had this issue with other spinning reels.Overall it's a great reel, and I'm happy to continue using it.

This is a great reel. I am very impressed with kastking. I have high dollar reels, this surpasses them, by a long shot. I will be buying more kastking reels. This one cast nice and is so smooth awsome job kastking.

Love this reel. Smooooth. Works well. Drags works well. Pleasure to reel. Relaxing. Pair wirh a matching color rod and you got a nice looking set up.

The quality you get for less than 50 dollars along with its durability is more than worth this purchase for any new angler. Light weight and more than enjoyable even when you’re not hooking fish.

Amazing reel. Wish I got the 5000. (Got the 2000 to put on my little dock pole, its soo smooth.

Bought this for my rod used it for the season everyday even dropped my rod in the water reel still works amazingly

Ligero, suave, arrastre excelente, buen freno y muy cómodo.

Worked for 2 months... The anti reverse is broken. Whether I click the switch or not it still goes in reverse. 30 day exchange is not long enough.

It's a nice working reel.
