Exactly what we needed! Bought one for my home and my daughters. We have a 18 month old that loves to go outside. We installed this in case she figures out how to open the door. It’s got 40 sounds with a large range of volume. Easy install and very worth it to keep the little ones safe. It would work for an elderly person as well or any other reason you need to be alerted if the door opens.

Already love this! We have a 3 year old and we live on 3 acres and at the edge of the backyard is a lake with no fence and just a dock. With how the land is layed out we can't really put a fence up to keep a safe distance from the lake. On top of that, my brothers all started sleep walking around 3 years old and during their sleep walking they were able to unlock deadbolts and go outside (we didn't have a lake growing up). I wanted a way to be able to know if the toddler woke up in the middle of the night either to go potty or if he started sleep walking and get to him before the lake did (we put one on his bedroom door and one on each door that goes outside). Don't worry, we will also be installing those door latches where he can't reach on each door that goes outside. I love how many settings the alarm has for tones as well as volume. I didn't need to install any batteries and everything paired immediately (I bought the 3 pack). I don't have to bog down my wifi and if I don't want to hear the door chime during the day, I can unplug the piece that makes sound and when I plug it back in it resumes the last settings. Each door piece does not make noise which is what we wanted. Only the wall piece makes noise so we put it in our bedroom. My husband and I are heavy sleepers and we were able to find a tone and volume that didn't give us a heart attack but also wakes us up. Some tones are short, some chime for a while, some are quiet some are loud so a great variety. Highly recommend!

This is my second time buying this little door chime, and honestly? No regrets. I have it on the front door of my shop and the first one lasted almost two years betore it randomly stopped working. I even swapped out the battery, thinking maybe that was it. Never figured out why. But for what I paid. Whatever. Installation took me literally 90 seconds peeled the tape, stuck the sensor on the door frame, plugged the receiver into an outlet near the register. That's it. No screws, no pairing dance.

A great door chime. I utilize this door chime to alert when my son opens his bedroom door. This is much less jarring than a door alarm and helps me rest easier knowing he won’t slip out of his room and elope without me knowing. There are a lot of chimes/songs to choose from and the adjustable volume is a great feature as well. Setup was easy and straightforward and from box to install took me less than five min. Highly recommend if you are looking for a door alarm or doorbell.

As a special education teacher, I had a lot of elopers. This was beyond easy to install and it could be put up high enough for the kids to not touch! No matter how loud the classroom was, we were able to hear when the door opened! This being said, it did go off EVERY time someone came in or out of the room... which is quite often! However, when people complained about the frequency the door was being used, we were able to say that the door chime kept our kiddos safe because we were able to hear when the door was opened no matter where we were in the room!

Worked well for a year and a half then it went belly up without notice. It just stopped working . Changed the batteries, reset, troubleshooting on YouTube etc and to no avail. The chime still works when you push it but when the doors open, absolute silence. No bueno.

There's zero way that this thing stops an intruder, but for letting us know when our kids are opening their bedroom door or the front door, it's perfect. It's not particularly loud, but the volume controls are easy to navigate and it was VERY easy to set up. Super slim design. I think it is a good value for the price because we can have a receiver both upstairs and downstairs, but I took off a star because I really wish this bad boy was louder.
