My Brest Friend Nursing Stool Adjustable for Comfort, Wood

I’ve had my original My Brest Friend nursing stool for over six years, and it’s truly been one of the most useful and comfortable pieces we’ve owned. Now that we’ve added twins to our family, I didn’t even think twice about ordering a second one for the nursery. We now keep one in the master bedroom and one in the nursery, and they both get daily use! Even outside of the newborn stage, this stool has become a staple in our home. The quality is amazing—it’s sturdy, supportive, and still looks and functions like new after all these years. We had this stool with our first few children, and then lost it in a house fire. We didn’t get a new one because I figured I was an old pro and didn’t need it. I was wrong. So we bought it again, and boy what a difference it makes! In those first few weeks as baby is getting used to latching and you’re trying to find a good nursing position (especially since they take much longer at the beginning since they are less efficient at sucking), this stool is a game changer. If you are having trouble getting comfy or getting them in a good position to latch, this with a good pillow always does the trick for me! And when you’re not nursing, it’s just a comfortable little ottoman. It’s easy to put together and very sturdy. I highly recommend to all nursing mothers!

This is a great little stool I highly recommend this to anybody that is breastfeeding or anybody that just needs to have a little stool. This would have been perfect for even my father-in-law that had a hip replacement just to elevate your knees a little bit This takes pressure off your back when you're sitting or is even great for when you're trying to rock back and forth We have this and it just slides under our IKEA chair and the nursery and I pull it out when I need to use it to nurse the baby or to help bounce her. I will even say that this will be helpful for crafting when you're sitting in a chair for long period of time I'm short so my legs are shorter and it creates a downward angle but when I need my lap to be flat for certain crafting this will also be helpful. Overall great little stool. It never completely goes flat from what I understand but you could totally use it as a step stool in the bathroom for a little once to brush their teeth as well because of the grips that are on it I'm sure the little angle wouldn't even be that big of a deal when stepping up and down off of it.

The instructions are pretty self explanatory. Package came with all necessary screws and tools and the pieces are solid light wood. The stool has three heights that are positioned with a screw and knob turn, so it doesn’t slide out of the position. The sandpaper grips on the stool make sure your feet don’t slip but you may not like them if you nurse barefoot. The feet of the stool don’t have any grips and may slide on hardwood floor but stay put on carpet. I used this stool first in the hospital and bought it for home - it’s the perfect height for couches and chairs (I tried other house stools and they either didn’t angle or were too tall). Overall, this is a must have as a new mom and even dads would benefit who hold the baby. Once we are past breastfeeding, this will work nicely for the toddlers to use for hand washing.

Unlike most other reviewers, I bought this to use as a toilet stool. It's made from solid wood and was easy to assemble, though I needed to adjust some pieces mid-way in order for everything to fit snugly, so I would recommend not tightening the screws all the way until you are satisfied with their placement. The sandpaper bugged me, since it already had wood shavings stuck in it out of the box, but I didn't want to remove the strips. Instead, I painted over them in acrylic (similar color, because I liked the contrast), then sealed the entire surface with water-resistant matte varnish. It works, and looks better than other toilet stools at the same price point. The mechanism for adjusting the height is pretty simple -- the knobs at the sides lock the height into one of 3 positions -- but it requires 2 hands. That's fine for me, as it will stay in one position all the time, but this might not be ideal for others. It only took me about an hr and a half to put it together, paint, and seal it myself on the same day it came in the mail, so don't be afraid to modify its appearance for your needs.

I bought this to use as a foot rest for classical guitar playing, and I couldn't be more pleased. When it is set in the middle position, the height and angle are perfect for me. There is a higher and lower position that might fit other players. This stool replaces one of those narrow foot stools that are designed to fold up into a guitar case. They are ok for traveling, but I find them awkward, unstable and uncomfortable. If you don't set your foot on one exactly right, it might flip over. For use at home, where it's not kept in the guitar case, this stool is perfect: wide, stable and comfortable. It is very well made and a great deal at the price! (And you can use it as a nursing stool too!)

Sturdy stool and useful stool. We had used it quite extensively for the breastfeeding stage although we eventually discovered that the ottoman that goes with our glider provided a more elevated and the needed support for me. Now for months, we have been frequently using this as a stool to sit on while bathing our baby. Because the seat can be tilted, the incline gives a more comfortable seating posture than of the seat is flat, like most other ordinary stools. I can foresee that we can eventually use this as a stepping stool for higher cabinet shelves. Good multi-purpose product. My husband is an engineer, so it's easy for him to adjust the angles for me. But I can't say whether it would or would not be as easy for me since I haven't gotten to trying to do it myself yet.

This adjustable nursing stool has made a huge difference in comfort and posture. The stool is very good quality, sturdy, and easy to assemble. We highly recommend it to any new parent looking for a practical and reliable feeding aid.

This product was better than I expected - it is sturdy, looks nice, and is adjustable. The only 'strange' thing is the red stripes of material on top to stop you from slipping off if you stand on it - they have exactly the same 'feel' to them as an emery board for filing your nails. I have put a small pillow on top of mine, which makes it a little more comfortable (and hides the strips).

Ordered this on a whim, not sure whether I would need it or not with my new nursing chair. I haven't used it much for nursing because my toddler likes to use it instead. It's a sturdy, handy stool. My husband wants one for his office because of great it is. Because it doesn't have "My Brest Friend" emblazoned on it, it can be used for much more than nursing. Love it. Easy to assemble.
