I use this inside acoustic guitars, even with the strings on, as it is a relatively large mirror that reveals what's under the top very clearly. It's flat enough to slip in between the strings, which is very nice. Given the lightweight construction, I'm not sure how well it would stand up in a big, full purse. One important point is that the hinge is loose, so it doesn't stand up on its own. I've been thinking of crimping the hinge to increase the friction but haven't tried that yet.

I tried big mirrors, lighted mirrors, but all were cumbersome and bulky for travel. This folds down to nothing so I can slip it in my toiletry bag. So handy for applying make up in a hotel room

I work in a environment were I do everything. Fixing thing, cleaning. And customer service. So I need a mirror to check my appearance for the customer service side of my job but I need a mirror that can hold up in a rugged environment. This does. And the size is perfect.

I really liked this mirror. As a maintenence man, I used it to look around corners and it worked very well until suddenly, without reason, the mirror fell out and broke when it hit the ground. The glue must be inferior while the plastic has a high thermal coefficient of expansion and contraction compared to the glass. I hope that an added bead of silicone around the outside edges will prohibit the same thing from happening.

Bought identical mirror from Muji store 10+ years ago which I still have. It has held up well and is good to travel with. It's lightweight, too.

This is a very reflective mirror. I was thinking it might not be but was pleasantly surprised with the accuracy of the description. I'm ordering a second one. Good value. Was delivered quickly.

Review updated in April 2022 after re-purchasing this item from the same Amazon listing I purchased four times head back in 2016: I bought one of these back in 2016 and was so impressed, I bought several more. You can read my original review below. But the ones I just got (2022) are not the same product. The 2016 ones had good quality metal and a real glass mirror. They tilted a scale at 4oz. The new ones have thin, flimsy metal and a plastic mirror. They weigh only 1.75 ounces. It’s the same ASIN (Amazon catalog number) but not the same product. Too bad. These were nice. Now they’re poor-quality junk. Why does China do this? They had a great product. But they tried to cut costs to make a few more cents off of it and now they have a product not worth buying. So sad. And I’m frustrated that Amazon permits such a significant change to the product while still allowing it to be sold under the same listing. ——————————- Original 2016 Review This is nice. It's a real glass mirror that gives a good, clean, bright, detailed, color-correct reflection in a nice metal case. It's a bit large for pocket-carry, but it's big enough to actually shave with. It is glass and will, if you drop it, I'm sure, break. But it's durable enough for common use. Being glass, it is a bit heavy, about four ounces, a quarter-pound, but it is a real glass mirror with all of the advantages of one. Be aware that it does come directly from China, so, while it shipped within a few hours of placing the order, it does still take a few weeks to come.

Excellent mirror for travel. Small, light, but very functional.

Ordered this for my desk - love it, perfect size, fits between my desk phone and computer out of the way, so I can check on my make-up during the day, and I like to nibble throughout the day, so I can fix my lipstick, or whatever! Great product! Compact, and folds up so I can put it away if I need to!

Nothing wrong with the mirror as a reflective surface, but at first glance it comes across as kind of cheap and flimsy looking. That said, it has survived a couple international flights and being bumbed around in the luggae compartment of several trains, so maybe it's tought than it looks. Small, light and compact it fit in my shaving kit quite nicely. Wasn't really impressed, but it won me over.
