It is exactly what I hoped it would be, others I’ve had were a slick rubber and didn’t work out on opening the jar. These are made of a gripping material and they work extremely well. I’m well satisfied.

Good if you already have a strong grip.
One side is smooth, the other is textured to grip, but these could use more texture, maybe on both sides. My old set was well textured and more flexible, making gripping with arthritic hands much easier.
