Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this product as I've previously only ever used 'name' brand SSD's like WD, Samsung or Crucial. Even though I was buying this solely for PS5 storage, I was still a bit wary of buying a cheap drive from a company I'd never heard of, but decided to give it a try after reading several positive reviews (from both published articles from the likes of PC Gamer & Games Radar, and individual Amazon customer reviews just like this one). Item arrived overnight with Prime shipping, no problem. With the help of a Philips head #1, I was able to install this drive in mere seconds (literally took under two minutes; the hardest part was getting the PS5 side panel to snap back into place after installation). PS5 recognised it straight away & formatting took perhaps a minute at most. According to the PS5, data transfer speed out of the box is 6163 mb/s, and transferring ~400gb of games from the full PS5 drive took perhaps a minute or two at most. Too early to rate in terms of reliability or longevity, but I'm quite impressed with the great performance thus far. Despite the bargain-basement price tag, the Silicon Power drive seems quite a well-built & sturdy SSD, with a quality built-in heatsink (necessary for use in PS5) - very pleased so far with the drive; phenomenal value for money & I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Easy to fit to my ps5 (found a vid online), and when ps5 booted up it recognised ssd instantly. Lots of extra space for ps5 games. No issues yet and machine is used daily. Cheaper than others on the market yet works just as well.

Works fine in the ps5 and easy to install not had not problems with it lagging or overheating and got a decent amount of storage

Bargain compared to the big names. Soo easy and quick to install . It gives me read speed of about 6500 moves 180gb call of duty games in maybe 30-40 seconds. Really pleased and stopped me having to pick and chose what games I have installed . Should have bought one of these the first day I got my ps5 on release date. Totally changes your options of installed games. Only thing is I wished I’d spend the extra and got a 4tb

Solid nvme drive u use it as backup on my pc.

Dose not fit on my motherboard due to not being able to take off the heat sink even after unscrewing it, don’t let that fool you I to thinking you can and contacted support and got told you can not take it off unless you want to damage the ssd Edit: despite what I was told I managed to heat up and slowly pry off the heat sink with a small plastic spatula, as it’s stuck down on both the top and bottom quite well it took a little time and now it fits into my pc and works as should but I wouldn’t recommend this, wish I would have just sent a little more and gotten another brand

Very easy to fit and has made a huge difference to the storage on the PS5. No trouble at all - really nice toi get a product that does what it says without any issues - highly recommend.

Great price, got this for ps5 very easy to install took about 5 minutes if that. It registers on ps5 as soon as you turn it on. Quick format and jobs done.

Llevo ya poco más del mes de uso en mi PS5 y no me ha dado problemas, si lo que ocupas es expandir tu almacenamiento en la consoloa dejame decirte que esta es la SSD que buscas a un precio bueno, he acabado Spiderman 2 y Spiderman Miles Morales sin que se laggeara o trabara el juego.

Been using it for a couple of days now. I am using it to load my ps4 games on my ps5 and it works brilliantly. I have had no issues so far. Brilliant and cost effective alternative to the offical WD or other SSD for PS5 out there.

After some research, zeroed in on the Silicon Power XS70 , for my PS console. Considered external SSD , but PS cannot start games from external SSD. Have to move to console storage beforehand. Installed it myself, and getting 6.08 GBPS write speed, right off the bat. 300+ GB moved from console storage to SSD in less than 3 minutes. Be advised, download speeds are dependent entirely only on your Internet speed. Overall SSD Price/ Performance ratio , best in this segment. The built-in Heatsink drops temperature by 20%-25 % while running, give or take. Check if seller is "Silicon Power Official Store" before buying. The price varies otherwise.

Compré este ssd para utilizar en la PS5 y funcionando perfectamente. Viene ya preparado con la carcasa disipadora, tal y como indica Sony en las especificaciones del ssd requerido. Tiene una gran velocidad de lectura y escritura y con sus 2 teras de capacidad, es una compra casi obligada si quieres tener muchos juegos instalados, ya que el ssd de la propia consola se queda muy corto. Es fácil de instalar, lo reconoce la PS5 y lo formatea sin problemas y luego ya está listo para usar. Tal vez no sea una marca muy conocida, pero es más rápido que la mayoría de los de marca, funciona bien y tiene una gran relación calidad / precio. Una compra muy recomendada, sobretodo si lo quieres usar para la última consola de Sony.
