Q: What country is this made in? some reviews said usa but the darker green one was pictured. i just want to make sure.

It is made in the good old People's Republic. I have the box in front of me and it says in the bottom right corner "Made in China". Don't know why others said it's made in the US. It's a US company but it's definitely made in China.

Q: are the yellow and red dyes toxic?

Q: Is it dishwasher safe?

Yes. I did put it in a basket on the top shelf to be safe from melting, but yes.

Q: How do you remove the chemical smell?

It did not come off for me. I washed it and sterilized it and it smelled worse!
