Can you export energy usage data. e.g. to a computer for analysis?

I don't think the protocol for these has been reverse engineered. Depending on your level of expertise tuyapi would seem to be an option as these plugs work with the smartlife app. Whether this api allows energy data to be collected I'm not sure. TP link kasa plugs have a more extensive range of hacks on github. You can definetly get energy data from these see James Barnetts github repository
