This is a pretty good battery, and honestly can't say I have anything to complain about on it. Pros: * Easy to install, the tools are included. * Good battery life, performs as expected Cons: * A tad expensive, compared to the other options. * A tool to help flip up the battery connector would be nice (like a guitar pick) The packaging of the battery is pretty straight forward. Comes in a fairly compact cardboard box. Two screwdrivers are included. The screwdrivers are of decent quality. I used them a little, but I already had my own tools so I didn't spend much with that. The battery comes in a plastic bag. The tools come in their own plastic bag too. There's padding on the top and bottom, the battery fits well. Installation was easy. The one thing that's worth mentioning is be very careful to get the right model of the battery. The 2011 battery has the connector to the left by a good 1/2 of an inch. Honestly, I'd actually suggest you unscrew the bottom of your laptop and verify you're buying the right one. The main benefit of this product is that the correct battery is sent on the first try. I bought another battery before this one, it was supposed to be right, and definitely wasn't. This one was right, so that's the benefit. If you haven't looked up how to replace the battery yet, it's a good idea to do that before you buy this. It's really simple, but still worth checking. The tl;dr is there are a number of screws to take off the bottom plate. After that, there are a good 6 screws to take out the battery. The battery clip is detached by flipping it up. Install is the reverse. No glue, no super difficult install. For battery durability and reliability. I did some burn in tests to verify that this battery works well. I charged it first, then ramped up all the CPUs/Cores to 100%. I let that run for about 45 minutes or so with the AC unhooked. It ran consistently with no issue. I then plugged in the AC again and let it charge while continuing the burn-in, and no overheating issues at all. It consistently works. I'll update this again if I run into any issues.

I was really nervous about dropping money for a battery replacement from a third party vendor, but this Temark battery is worth every penny. The battery works great! Battery life between charges lasts a tad longer than the original battery from Apple (based on my past 8 years using the stock Apple battery). It is extremely easy to install, especially since they include the tools you need to install the battery. I've owned the battery for about a month now, and have not had any problems. The previous stock battery bloated and nearly broke my keyboard (Apple knows about the defect), but with battery technology improvements I'm hoping that doesn't happen again with this Temark battery. Thanks to their great product and easy install, my MacBook Air lives again! It's practically like a new laptop, which is not bad for an 8 year old laptop. Also, Temark has excellent customer service. I didn't know that I should do a System Management Controller (SMC) reset on my MacBook Air after battery installation, as the battery percentage didn't read accurately. I contacted them through Amazon's messaging services when I noticed the problem and they promptly helped me out by telling me about the SMC reset and answered any other questions I had. If you're looking for a battery replacement for your MacBook Air, I think Temark is a solid choice. They also have a 6 month battery guarantee against battery defects, along with their willingness to help if you have any problems crop up. For $70 (give or take a few bucks), it's definitely worth it!

Bought this to replace a dead 6 cell OEM battery in A1406 MacBook Air. The original battery had lost it's ability to charge and would no longer hold even one percent. This put the MBA into permanent "battery saver" mode, although it could only be run when connected to the charger, significantly degrading the performance of the laptop into virtually unusable status. This battery is a nearly perfect fit (the plastic needed juuuust a little work to align to the upper right screw, and it's just a tad thicker too meaning there's no longer a perfect seam at the bottom front, but overall it was a very very good fit and I can't really complain since this replacement has a higher rating than the OEM battery; this is a 4 cell, 39 Watt Hour battery and the original in the MBA is a 6 cell, 35 Watt Hour battery. It's hard for me to give an objective comparison as to how much extra life this provides as I never measured when the original battery was new, but it certainly feels like it lasts longer. The battery came with the two specialized screwdrivers to remove the bottom plate from the MBA and remove the old battery. The two screws have different heads on them, and are slightly different. They are minuscule! Thankfully, these screwdrivers are magnetized and the battery ships in a vacuum formed tray which was very convenient for storing the screws in while working. Removing the old battery and installing the new one is exceptionally easy, the battery connects via a small connector which you simply lift up on to remove, and the new one you push down on slightly and it snaps in. Very easy to know when it's connected. Replace the screws, replace the bottom plate and the screws, and you're done. Note: If your time and date didn't hold when replacing the battery, you will have to resync in the time and date control panel, or a lot of services stop working properly, including iCloud and web browsing. All in all, very easy to install, a good fit, slightly higher performance rating, and I'm confident it has extended the life of this little laptop! Recommended!

I just installed this over the weekend. Ease to install...great! the screwdrivers provided were a big help. Plugged the MacBook Air in and fully charged the battery. Once charged I wanted to see how long the battery would last. Once it got to about 48% my computer shut down. I had to plug in the charger to fire the computer back up. Fully charged it again. Second time I unplugged the charger, and tried using the computer again. The computer shut down again just under 50% on the battery life. These don't seem to be "new" batteries. It doesn't appear to hold it's charge. contacted an amazon person and was sent a replacement battery as it was obvious the first one must have been defective. Second battery shipped right out, was just as easy to install as the first one, and works like it should. It charges in a timely fashion, and discharges like a normal battery should. Once it gets low enough it prompts you to plug in. Much happier with the second battery.

*** Update 01/22/2018 *** The seller reached out to me after I returned the battery asking me to give them another shot. They sent me a brand new battery and sure enough, the one they sent is performing better than the one I received originally. I have raised the review from 1 star back to 3. After calibrating the battery and reseting the SMC on the macbook air, this new battery gets me roughly 2 hrs and 45 minutes of run time from a fully charged battery. This is much better than the 1 hr and 30 minutes I was getting before with the original battery I received. I run some pretty heavy stuff that drains the battery quick, so this is acceptable. With all this said, 3 stars is an honest rating. I had ordered another battery prior to receiving this replacement and it gives me about 3 hrs and 20 minutes (give or take a little). Had this been the first battery I received from them I would have stopped looking and given the same review. In short, this new battery is a decent battery. If you're not a power user, it might be great for you, for me, the average run time is acceptable. Customer service is great in my experience. Though it's slightly thicker than the OEM battery, it sits in the case fairly well. *** Update 12/29/2017 *** So I've calibrated the battery base on what i've read online. I even reset the SMC on my macbook air. Battery works, but is no where near the expected run time from a full charge to 0%. $70 is a bit steep for a battery that only works slightly better than the one I replaced with 1100 cycles. I have dropped the 3 stars review to 1 star. Sorry. Really wanted this to work. Replacing the batter for a A1370 (MBA Mid 2011). Pros: * Shipping was fast * Packaging was safe * Battery cushioned with foam * Tools used to replace the battery were included Cons: * Battery casing is a bit on the thick side. (Well, thicker than the original batter) still fit but it's really tight and made closing more difficult * Smaller screwdriver stripped during reassembly. (Lucky for me I already had another screwdriver of the same size bit). Be gentle with the ones that ship with this product. They are poor quality. May leave you half done if you're not careful. * Larger screwdriver did not have a magnetic hold. The smaller one did, not sure why the bigger one didn't. *shrugs* * Connection plug is thicker than OEM and fit is not identical. (i had to really push done on it to seat it) * Battery wear is better than the one with 1100 cycles (original), but not as great as i would have imagined a new battery would be after replacement. Will calibrate it and see if it improves. I will have to wait for the re-calibration of the battery to know if the price was worth it. I hope so...but so far it's just Ok. The easily stripping screwdriver would have pissed me off if I hadn't already had another on hand, so be aware.

I purchased this product as my 2nd and last try to find a battery replacement for an older Macbook Air. Having purchased one battery from another vendor not on Amazon, I quickly realized that I had been taken to the cleaners. After that was a failure I turned to this Temark battery. The product was delivered promptly as you would expect, it was packed well and show no wear from the journey. It arrived in great condition. With the battery came the 2 torx type drivers needed to replace the battery hassle free. Both of the torx drivers fit the Apple OEM screws perfectly. No stripping or twisting inside the head of the screws. Appl,e in there infinite lack of wisdom, would prefer to make self servicing of their equipment as hard as possible for their consumers. The Temark product simply negates their ability to do so. I installed this battery in less than 10 minutes using the tools provided. The connectors fit perfectly. The battery fit the original size and position to a "T" (no pun intended). Hence, probably the easiest Apple replacement I have ever done; and I have done a few. I buttoned up the chassis of the Macbook Air and connected the power charging adapter. The battery quickly went into charging mode with the amber/orange light. This was a great sign. I gave it about 30 mins of dedicated charging time and powered up the laptop. Viola, the battery symbol showed charging as you would expect. This was not the case with the first failed battery from another vendor. I opened up the to Coconut Battery app and checked everything over. The replacement battery read perfectly in terms of the original specs published for the Apple OEM battery. Ever since, we have had zero issues with the Temark product. We actually got our Macbook Air back essentially as it was borderline useless before the replacement. Temark has my vote for new replacement battery on my Apple products going forward!

It is currently September 2019. In November 2018 i bought this replacement battery for my 2011 macbook air because the original battery was starting to fail. it still worked but I could only use it for like an hour or so. So, rather than buying a new laptop, considering everything else on my macbook air is still working great i thought i would try a new battery. The install was fairly straightfoward. However, after calibrating it, i was extremely bummed to find out this new battery barely lasted any longer than my old one. And now, it wont hold a charge more than 5 minutes after disconnecting. And it isnt even a year old. If i want to use my laptop now it has to be permanently connected to the charger. I would much rather switch back to my 8 year old original battery but i recycled it when i bought this one. Disgusted and I would not recommend this battery to anyone. Just spend the money and get one that will last longer than 10 months.

This replacement was necessary because the original Apple battery swelled up and had actually deformed the laptop case. I picked this one because it included the tools I needed. The new battery fit right in with no trouble, connector worked easily and the new battery had a 75% charge after installation, so the laptop fired right back up. Over the past week, it seems that the new battery exceeds the specs of the original - it holds a charge longer and seems to recharge faster, even compared to when the laptop was new. After installing the new battery, the laptop is working perfectly, the case isn't bent anymore, and the track pad works again. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I'm happy to give the seller five stars!
