Photo booth for your purse!! LOVE this gadget!
I must say, I'm not one to usually go out on an impulse to buy a gadget but when someone showed me this little thing, I jumped on it and boy was my instinct correct. I love love LOVE this little printer! I've already used it a lot. We're about to move away from our current place of residence, so one of the really great uses of this one has been printing memories for friends at farewell parties. It's an instant photo booth! First of all, super easy to use! Charge it, download the Sprocket app, pair with your phone and voila. I'm using it with a Samsung Galaxy S5 and it's a great pairing. The pictures come out with surprisingly good quality, this does not use any ink so the only expense here is to replenish the paper, but I have found that this will not break the bank at all. I love that they are stickers, I've been using it to create a memory book for my daughter with photos of all her friends and teachers in it so that she can thumb through and wander down memory lane whenever she wants to. I also love how compact it is, it fits in my purse so I can easily bring it with me anywhere I want to go. I did not buy the pouch for it, but I'm considering it so that it is a little bit more protected. I think the Sprocket app can probably use a little work as far as they could add more editing options and coloring options for the stickers etc, but I'm still having fun with the current app, using it to frame photos, add stickers and text before printing. I figure this app can only get better with time and it's already a good tool. Anyway ... so far I have nothing negative to say about this one, I just love it, best impulse buy ever!

New favorite tool for journaling
I'm an avid travel journalist, and the bulk of my journal is made up of sketches I do on the go. However, sometimes I want to add a picture of my kids or capture an exact moment, and let's be real...ordering prints and waiting for them is inconvenient and something I "always mean to do". I have a hard case that carries the sprocket, paper and charging cord and all of it fits perfectly into the side pocket of my backpack. The 2x3 prints are clear (a bit dull on the color but still high quality for an instant print situation) and the perfect size for my moleskine pocket journal. The adhesive back adheres to smooth pages and after 3 weeks of packing around my journal and flipping through pages, the corners are still holding up well. No threat of coming off. This is the perfect accessory for travelers who don't want to add weight to their packs, but are also self-aware enough to know we'll never actually print those photos if we have to go to Walmart. I also plan to have this at our next birthday party so party-goers can print pictures they take that day to take with them. Useful little tool and I REALLY Love that I don't have to pack extra ink to make it work.

First off let me say I was expecting poor to fair quality photos as a lot of "tech" ...
First off let me say I was expecting poor to fair quality photos as a lot of "tech" critics have claimed. What I found was Impressive photo quality for a printer using ink-less technology. Fast effortless syncing to both iOS and Android as with all HP products I have owned. Cons. A desktop program available would be a nice advantage because after all who doesn't sync everything anymore just for the sake of syncing (none available at my time of purchase). Holding more than 10 sheets of paper at one time would be a nice bonus as well (can be corrected by purchasing an aftermarket case with plenty of pocket space to hold extra paper at around 10$ average) Also worth mentioning that the HP case choices are not very desirable compared to aftermarket ones. The charging cord is a bit laughable at just a little over a foot and a half (can be corrected with a USB extension or by purchasing a longer cord about 5$ average for either assuming you don't have one lying around). Despite my few complaints I still gave the Sprocket 5 stars for being well built, having great quality prints, idiot proof setup and use (including the editing software in both apps) Most of my complaints can be easily fixed at ones own leisure. Once again HP comes through again. Decent quality case by Canboc 9$ http://a.co/1IAGPyn Quality 3.0 USB extension by Cable Matters 6$ http://a.co/i5ZwF5b

HP Sprocket for sketchbook and drawing
I really like my HP Sprocket and I hope HP continues to support it. The App for this is really simple to use but they need more options because I have to use a third party app to have more editing options. So the printer itself is pretty swell. Don't expect amazing quality though, you gonna put most pictures though the editor to brighten/darken it to make it closer to the original. Also, dark lines aren't very consistent. I'm currently using this to print comics sections and artwork for my sketch book as reference and in one of the pictures I printed out before editing, it was suppose to be just black and white but the black lines were faded and kinda tinted purplish I think. Very light. In another drawing I printed, I used the editor and it came out a bit better. For such a large picture turned tiny, it got most of the details. Just the black lines were faded/light purplish in the thinner lines. BTW, I would suggest using this app for iOS users if you want to make sure all of your picture will fit in the 2:3 ration that the app uses: ">Resize". It's free and pretty basic in the Apple App Store. Pretty much uses all of the paper and looks decent if you remain consistant. Oh, and you have to be using the latest iOS firmware of your device cause the HP decided to stop supporting those under 8.0 I think. So I'm not sure if the picture quality is the HP Sprocket's fault or the Zink Paper since they're both pretty new. I hope the paper becomes cheaper cause unless it's on a sale, it's about $0.50 per paper. The sticker part is really good though, picture feels smooth against my sketch book and doesn't come loose. So overall, if you just want some fun little pictures for your scrapbook/sketch book needs, I would suggest buying it since it seems like the best out of the other current printers of April 2017. It's very easy to connect it to your bluetooth and the app is simple to use as well. It's very portable and there are two cases for it right now for your basic needs of protection. There is also the benefit that since it uses Zink paper like Polaroid and LG, you could swap between the other brands as long as you keep your blue sheet from the HP set. Look it up on YouTube if you want proof. The only other recommendation I would give is the Kodak Mini Printer (PM-210). The pictures are a tiny bit bigger than a credit card and the quality is pretty good. Only problem is the cartiages as they are quite expensive unless you use another brand like "Pickit" which comes in non-sticker and sticker. I'll include a photo of my Sprocket with the two cases I'm using and a screenshot I printed from Person 5 the game.

Nice idea, good size.
Nice idea, good size. I have to revise my original review on this product. I was having a problem with my original Sprocket, it just did not want to print consistently. I became frustrated with the unit and wrote a very unfavorable review. HP Customer Service contacted me and asked about my problems. I was given the opportunity to try a replacement Sprocket sent directly to me from HP. They were truly interested in my problem, and had not seen my problem in the printer before. The new Sprocket arrived and after charging as directed I connected via bluetooth to my iPhone. This unit printed 4 pictures with no trouble what so ever. I then received a message to updade the firmware. I did so as directed and all was still well. I then fully charged the origional Sprocket, reset the unit and connected via bluetooth. Well the origional Sprocket printed the remaining 6 prints (from the origional sample pack that comes with the printer) without a hiccup! I reported this developement to my Customer Service Representative, he was very happy, and agreed with me the update corrected the problem with the first unit. All is well now, and I would recomend this little compact printer to all. It truly is a little fun machine while you are out and about, can carry easily in your pocket. And hats off to HP Customer Service, knowing they have a good product, but wanted to keep a customer happy! They are truly on top of their game!

Love this tiny device!
I've printed 30 pictures so far and just ordered more paper. I love that when I travel I can make a mini album in real time without having to wait or crop down 4 x 6 pics to fit. The printer device is smaller than my phone, and charges quickly via the cord that comes with it. It's easy to load and seems to work consistently. The images are not perfect, they turn out as if they are a little faded. They are crisp though. The sticky backs peel off easily. The program associated with the printer is easy to use and you can crop photos easily in the software on your phone. I recommend this printer for fun, instant pics in a journal or mini album where you are not concerned about archival quality, with high color pics, but are just capturing the moment and sticking on a page. I wish I had discovered this years ago! i also bought a carry case for $10

More like a Polaroid camera than a photo printer.
I bought this as a gift for Christmas and it is awesome. If you are looking for completely accurate colour payoff this is probably not the printer for you. No matter what brand you choose, the likely hood of the prints being completely accurate are not very high. These print more like a picture from a Polaroid camera would print, but if you look at the quality they are awesome. All three of these original pictures were taken on my Canon Rebel T6i and were then edited on the app ColorStory before being printed on the Sprocket. I would not recommend editing photos in the app as the quality might not be as great. Invest in a good photo editing app such as Aviary, or Lightroom or another app that will not ruin the quality of your photos. Also, as a general printing rule, printers usually print at a resolution of 300dpi, if you have photoshop you can always change the resolution of your photos to fit the resolution this will print. Because of the photo dimensions, you will never have to crop out any part of your picture to make it fit in the print. Unless you decide to print a square photo or a photo that has been previously cropped. All in all it is an awesome printer, but if you’re looking for 100% accurate colour payoff, you may want to invest in an inkjet printer.

... am returning the item I thought it'd be a good way to write what I thought about it
While I am returning the item I thought it'd be a good way to write what I thought about it. As someone who likes to journal and is a big fan of instant camera/prints, I was excited to buy one of these printers. I read plenty of reviews, both good and bad, but in the end I wanted to get my hands on one. It has a lot of greats thing that I enjoy about it. The size of the sheets are nice and the pricing of 20 sheets per 9.99 is decent. I love that you can edit the pictures, add borders, stickers, words, and play around with filters. While it is small and portable, it does not fit in your pocket, but does in a bag or purse. The cons, however, outweighed the pros in my mind. While I kept going back and forth on whether I wanted to return it, the down sides pushed me to return it. The pictures aren't the best quality, while I wasn't expecting amazing quality, and read the reviews and knew they weren't the best. I was so surprised and sad how many of the pictures turned out. In some, the pictures look washed out, in others they're too dark, and in others they look just plain terrible. There are a few pictures that look nice but 4 or 5 great pictures out of 20 is not great. When you want to print something you see what you want it to look like on your screen, and seeing it not come out that way on paper is disappointing. It's not like with instax cameras/polaroid cameras where sometimes it's a gamble whether the picture will turn out great. For the quality of the pictures, the price didn't seem too fair. I also don't like that the zink paper that is needed for this product crinkles up from the sides after a few days. As I mentioned earlier, I like to journal, and sometimes I like to print out things I find on pinterest, and even those sometimes came out great and other times they didn't. I was never 100 percent sure if I was going to like my picture or not. It does have great functions but even then 130 dollar doesn't make sense to me. If it costs a lot less, maybe I would've kept it, but even then I'm not sure.

Quick and Efficient!
I recieved this for Christmas. It was super easy to configure with my phone. Quick charge, and came with 20 sheets of photo paper. I like how you can add filters or text to make it a bit more personal. Im impressed with the quailty of the photo for the size that it is, also you can peel and stick the photo to anything. This is perfect for small memeories or if you just want to provide someone with that memory to take with them. Its a special gift :) I would recommend this to anyone
