what is seat depth and width? do they really make just a one size for all? surely not, so disappointing to know a company could be so short sighted

The Seat is 18"x18", one size. Weight cap is up to 250 lbs.

Does the footrest lift up for easy sitting?

The footrest does flip up. There is a bit of a metal support in the middle under the footrest, but it doesn’t get in the way of sitting down.

Is this one of those rip off chairs that claim they have ,and show in their ad that it has "in frame" batteries????? but really does not??

It is not a "rip off chair" This is the actual chair from WHILL US. We are a re-seller of the product, so we carry it. I am not sure what you mean "in frame" batteries, but the battery is located on the rear of the unit and you can charge it by the battery or while it's in the unit all together.
