Hard to prove a negative
My dog has a slow growing malignant tumor. He is 10 years old, and the only way to be sure we would get rid of the cancer is to remove his leg. He is a large dog and in no pain so we checked with three different vets: a holistic one, our regular vet, and an oncologist and arrived at a course of treatment. He gets a largely meat and vegetable diet, a multivitamin, probiotics, CO Q 10, and fish oil, All three vets recommended Cordyceps so I did some research, and I have been taking it myself too. To tell you the truth, it seems to give me a little more energy, but that could be a placebo effect. Anyway, my husband has been measuring the tumor daily with calipers and putting the measurement in a spread sheet. The tumor has remained exactly the same size or maybe even a little smaller since it popped up 6 months ago. I have no idea what is keeping it in check, but I am not going to stop this regimen. In addition to the holistic routine, he also gets a small chemo pill daily. I seems to have no side effects at all, but, of course, it might be what is keeping the cancer in check April 7, 2015 - Just back from a visit to the oncologist. Tumor has grown a very small amount. Toby's blood work is fine. He is now also getting Turkey Tail and Milk Thistle in addition to the previously mentioned regimen.. He has been being treated for the tumor 14 months now, and it is still not bothering him. He is now 11.
