NT Cutter Aluminum Die-Cast Cushioned Grip Auto-Lock Utility Knife (A-400GRP-RD),Red

With my old go-with-the-cheapest box cutter on its last legs/blades, I decided to shop around for something a bit nicer to replace it just in time for moving into a new apartment. The NT Cutter wasn't much more expensive, but it sure as heck was a lot nicer. Since getting it a few months ago, it's been through some brutal box and packing tape cutting, including really hard multi-ply corrugated cardboard boxes that held appliances and heavy furniture -- and even the dense sort of boards that protect furniture corners (for which I probably shouldn't use a box cutter). For the vast majority of boxes, it slices through like butter, never catching or tearing except on the gnarliest packaging. The edge has certainly started to visibly wear by now, but its performance for my purposes is largely unchanged (especially now that I've gotten through the move in large part). The size is perfect for my small hands, and I really like the clicky extension/retraction -- much smoother than my old box cutter. Really happy with this knife, and would be glad to keep refilling it with blades.

Fit, feel & finish are impeccable. Do yourself a favor & replace those cheap throw-away plastic knives. Indulge in the small luxury of using this little beauty. I use it for many things, from the obvious opening of packages, photo mat cutting, to ripping seams in clothes to be mended. With snap blades, it's always sharp & ready. Side note, the included Japanese blades are higher quality (sharper & slightly thicker) than the bulk refill packs I had on hand from the hardware store. So depending on what you're using it for, you may want to consider that. Shipping from Japan is worth the wait. Value vs quality is unbelievable. I couldn't be happier. Very nice smooth action and a quality product. It took a few weeks to arrive, but it was shipped from Japan and worth the wait. I like dealing with a company that is in a free nation where they elect their leaders and live free. I use this type of knife every day at work several times a day and this one makes the work easier due to the smooth action and high quality in every aspect. At first I thought that it was going to be hard to remove the end cap, but after a few times I learned that it's really easy when you push it the right direction on the back. The only thing that I would suggest to improve this would be to add a slot for containing replacement blades, but for the price and quality I think it's a great buy.

I use this for crafts, the blade is super easy to change out, which is awesome because foam dulls blades like nobody's business. i got a pack of a ton of blades and a sharpener which make them last 5x as long. I got this one because it was the thinnest one i could find that still looked well built and wasn't super expensive. pretty much hit the mark, because this thing lets me make some really precise cuts, the grip on it helps with that too.

Great grip. It was a bit too grippy for my pocket though. I went with the smoother version. Very well made.

I have to say I've been extremely impressed with theis NT knife, I like them more than Ofla's (which are good), the quality, the feel and the action while using is really nice,. Highly recommend and excellent value. I also recommend the NT Cutter PRO Auto-Lock Stainless Steel Graphic Knife (AD-2P), its smaller and can be used more like a pen/exacto especially with the 30 degree black carbon blades.

A very high quality cutter to replace those disposable plastic ones. This is very durable and well worth the price; you'll appreciate it every time you use it and wish you got it sooner. I bought several for various locations in the house to replace the plastic ones. Uses the standard 9mm blade.

I still have first one of these that I purchased last year. They are sharp, dependable and safe. I use primarily to open boxes and have had no issues.

I buy very rarely this kind of utensil. For the only one unit I need, quality is more important (compared to other offers where you could get 2 or 3 units for the same price). I don't use often, and in fact could get away OK with the dollar store one I am having. But I need replacement blades so I just ordered this knife at the same time just to try out something better. I am glad I did. It feel more pleasant to use a quality product.

Un cutter de muy buena calidad. El cuerpo es metálico y tiene un peso adecuado. Las bandas de goma naranja ayudan a que se sostenga muy bien en la mano.

C'est du japonais ! Prix attractif, emballage nickel et à l'utilisation depuis plusieurs mois ça me change la vie. très très loin du modèle casto !!! Du coup j'ai acheté des lames de rechange. Super. Merci Amazon de nous proposer des produits qu'on ne soupçonne même pas l’existence !
