I ordered this unit in order to seal Polypropylene bags for packaging t-shirts. The thing works like a dream. Finding the perfect temperature can be a bit of a chore, but once I got the hang of it I was sealing everything from Tater Chips to powdered sugar. I never found anything that needed a temperature setting greater than 4 so keep it low. The only down side is it's a bit bulky and takes up a lot of counter space. If you have the room for it and you don't need it to vacuum seal it's definitely worth buying.

This impulse sealer is perfect for those times you don't want a vacuum seal. Dialing in the correct temperature setting is the trickiest part of using the sealer. One improvement I made was adding two guides to ensure the lever comes down centered on the heating element. Took just a few minutes to add guides with a 3D pen. Now, the lever always clamps down well centered.

I've used this for a few hundred seals now and it works great. A minor quibble is if you're sealing something very thin the arm may not trigger the switch when you press down; you need to press the arm a little further up when this happens. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Recently, I became acutely aware that I was wasting a lot of food like cereal, chips, cookies. I would attempt to save but often these attempts would be of no avail. I have a chamber vacuum food sealer and a regular foodsaver. The sealing time blows me away. Yesterday, I sealed an Amazon envelope package. No tape needed!

Product is terrible. My bags would not seal with out melting them closed and my house always smelled like burnt plastic when I was done. I trashed this product and purchased a new heat seal different brand. Complete waste of money!!!

The unit looks like a cheap toy that you would buy at the dollar store. There is a lot a play in the arm and you have to be careful when you close the arm to make sure it aligns with the heat seal strip. For some reason the right side of the heat seal strip gets hotter than the left. I flipped the strip over and it still does it, so I think the right side of the arm just presses down harder than the left. There is no way to adjust the pressure between the left and right side, so the easiest way to overcome this is to seal the bag then flip it 180 and seal the same spot again. It was 1/4 the price of comparable models, so you get what you pay for. For the most part it works as advertised... so 3 stars.

Works great, super easy to use, makes a clean seal for my cookies. I also love that it’s only hot in use. Great product

Works as described. It leaves a much wider seal line than others. On my plastic wraps for soap, it seals them well but doesn't heat enough to separate at the seal line. But line is wide enough to easily trim when needed.
