The device works perfectly as expected but it is not battery or USB powered which is highly misleading.They also claim a backup of 8 hours eventhough there is battery at all.

it didnt meet the expectation, although the light and sound activated is good but you cannot control the patterns or strobe choose what patter you want, its all mix also the light will be only in one way its not roating to cover the whole area. but it does it purpose if you are looking for lights to rock your evening with some lights

I purchased this effect light for my upcoming Halloween display, and am happy I did, there is a great deal of variety in the patterns and the option of turning off the motor to hold patterns stationary is a plus. With the motor on and circulating through the different displays I feel it switches a little too fast for my liking,although I have yet to set the music profile to see if changes in tempo has any effect on the rate the patterns change. The only patterns that I can save are what I call the wave or "web" but the others can't be stopped or held on a specific pattern a tad disappointing but not a deal breaker. I like the battery feature but the charge doesent hold for very long maybe an hour tops but for my purposes both musically as a fill effect on stage and for my display it will be connected to a power source. It's small footprint makes it easy to apply to any environment and is very little distortion at longer distance and it has good brightness. The independent floods are dim at best and really don't do much of anything. I have looked into these types of lights before and have hesitated to buy them simply because they were way too expensive, not this one , for the money it's a great deal and I'm going to have a blast with it I can't wait!!

Totally exceeded my expectations! The battery powered unit is the way to go. Several hours of battery life, great mood setting for a dance or party. The only down side is the music sensor mode just matches the switching of the lazer and light combos to the beat of the music, making it too fast for uptempo songs. But you can use the remote to dial in your vibe to match the music, so that is what I do now.
