Q: All demos feature passive basses. How does this unit behave with an active bass?

I haven't used it with an active bass, but it is awesome with a passive. I would think that it works and sounds great with the active bass as well. Very cool product for a great price.

Q: Is the "DirtyQ" an overdrive? ie a distortion channel? Or something else.

No, it's not a "channel"… The DIRTY Q module is an envelope filter with some interesting tricks. Tweak the knobs onboard until you find the vocal tone that suits your playing style.

Q: I see that it comes with its own power cord, how does it do with dirty power? I would use it in an older wired church that has given humm on pedals.

never had an issue with it - it even comes with a ground lift switch
