Q: Why is this $300 more than what it sells from Prusa directly?

Actually the last one I ordered direct from Prusa was $938.48 after paying for shipping and import duties so it is really only $3.25 more.

Q: Can you use in regular room in ordinary house or do you need enhanced ventilation to remove VOC emissions?

Regular room is fine for PLA and PETG. You do not want to sit in the same enclosed room while it prints multiple hours a day regardless of material. Printing temperature plays a role in VOCs emissions along with the material. Always research the filaments prior to printing. I have an air purifier with activated charcoal in the room and an enclosure I can vent out the window when printing things like ABS and ASA.
