Rough Country 2.5" Lift Kit for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ LJ | 6 CYL - 653.20

My gosh what an improvement. I previously wasted my money with a 'budget lift' using the pucks over the OEM springs. after installing this on my Jeep LJ in my driveway by myself, with the help of some coil compressors, it's been flawless. no need to lower the transfer case or install new sway bar links or adjust driveshaft or anything else. Ride is SO much better, firmer and secure. and it Looks great too. I did eventually install a rear relocation bracket ($25) to better center the rear axle, but that was more for looks than anything else, but if you have oversized wheels/tires the offset will show more, so I recommend doing it at the same time as the lift kit to save time. A+ to Rough Country. I don't know what all the whining is about. Would buy this again 100%

This product says it doesn’t fit 98 jeep tj but it does fits a 1998 jeep TJ!!! Extremely happy with this product !!!

This lift was just right. It level the jeep and people like the new look. The process of adding the new springs was simple and straight forward. A spring compressor and flat bar are a must. We had it in and on the road in about 7 hours with dinner in the middle of the job. The ride is better that stock.

Installation was easy and everything fit as it should. But I had to buy additional parts to fix vibration and alignment issues after the 2.5” lift. I did by a spring compressor at the local auto shop which made things pretty easy. Even with just the 2.5” lift I did get some drivetrain vibration so I installed a 1” transfer case lowering kit which solved the issue. Also, the 2.5” lift moved my rear axle out of alignment to the passenger side and front to the drivers side which caused about 1.5” offset of my axles. So I had to get the adjustable track bars to allow for proper alignment adjustments to be made.
