I love this refrigerator so much that I bought a second one 3 weeks later. They are very well made, commercial grade, and very spacious. The both came packaged extremely well with no issues during delivery. They have a very clean look and are the perfect appliance for your outdoor patio/kitchen area. Sometimes you don't know what quality you will receive when purchasing bigger ticket items on the internet, but with these we couldn't be happier!!! I did have a minor issue that I inquired about with the company. I reached out to HCK directly and they were very quick and efficient with their response. They were very helpful and seemed like they really cared about us as a customer. I would highly recommend HCK's products and will be sharing my experience with family and friends. Thanks again HCK!!! Overall this fridge is a good value for the money. I liked it so much I purchased two. One for my kitchenette and the other for my outdoor deck. There are some small upgrades that you can and should consider but none are deal breakers (see more below). The good... - Temperature regulation - The fridge runs for approximately 10-15 minutes every hour and typically maintains a temperature around 38 degrees fahrenheit (see graph). The control appears to perform a defrost cycle every 4-5 hours for 45 minutes where the compressor does not run allowing the coil to defrost (does not have a heater for defrost). To me this temperature regulation is very good. - Well Packaged - Both fridges were very weil packaged with 2' of foam encasing the fridge without a mark, dent or scratch - Attention to detail and build quality - All stainless steel panels are brushed and formed well without sharp edges. The stainless steel construction should last both indoors and outdoors. The back lower panel appears to be steel sheet metal but that is perfectly fine. The stainless will show finger prints but that is common. The condensate pan has refrigerant lines in it to assist with evaporation next to the compressor. When reversing the door there is a cable tie on the door tension rod to prevent you from fishing for it in the door, small simple but nice touch. - Decent insulation - To achieve the great temperature regulation the fridge has to be decently insulated and appears to have about 1.5-2" of foam insulation throughout. The outdoor fridge also holds a steady temperature. Improvements I would like to see... - Premium fans - Anyone that has built and owned computers for 2-5 years will know that fan are often a price saving point for manufacturers and will need to be replaced. The 12V 120mm Hui Tong Electronic fans probably fall into this category. It would be nice to see premium fans from a known manufacturer used. With most appliances lasting years, noise reduction I could see this as a selling point. Are most fridges on the market ignoring this detail also... Definitely This is not a deal breaker for me as fans can be easily purchased and replaced. Will I make the premium upgrade at some point soon with some IP67 fans from a known/premium manufacturer for peace of mind, most definitely. - Stainless Steel Racks - The white wire racks seem out of place and other manufacturers offer all stainless racks. Suggest an upgrade to stainless racks to improve the overall look and feel of this product. Is this a deal breaker, no. Will the white wire racks outlive this product and be functional, yes. - Caulked Seams - The bottom seams of the fridge are exposed, if a can or soda were to leak it would go into these seams. I suggest that the manufacturer caulks and seals these seams to prevent ingress of debris and fluids. I have made this small upgrade with some silicone RTV. The manufacturer is going through the efforts to seal the condensation pan in the back of the fridge. Just continue the caulking throughout the bottom... Deal breaker no, but buy some RTV and 5 minutes of my/your time. - Rough surface interior consideration - The textured metal surface of the fridge is a little annoying to clean if something sticky or general cleanup. sometimes a tooth brush is needed to clean the surface. The textured surface does look nice when clean and stands out from plastic interiors. time will tell how well this hold up and if it oxidizes/corrodes. A different surface would help with cleaning. Overall this fridge is very well built and should be on your list for a built in fridge both indoors and outdoors.

I own it... I am the reason for the mix up with customer service. All credit to the vendor they actually reached out to me based on this review and are in the process of correcting the situation resulting from shipping. As I previously stated the unit is working perfectly and now that I know the vendor has my back I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase! Shame really. Unit seems well built and quickly reached 35° temp when turned on. However, unit was damaged in shipping and after an initial response from the vendor on replacement parts, I am now getting ghosted. If this is the kind of support you get for something as simple as a parts replacement I can't imagine what it would be like for something more serious.

I brought this refrigerator to store cold drinks near my outdoor patio. Prior to this, I had to store drinks in an ice chest, which did a horrible job at keeping the drinks cool. However, this refrigerator does the job exceptionally well, even during hot summer days. It also looks great and can store enough drinks for friends that come over.

DO NOT buy this product if a left hand door swing is required or desired (opening from the right side as facing, swinging to the left). Instructions make it seem easy. IT IS NOT. Every grommet and guide is glued in, the tensioner reversing to self close the door is NOWHERE to be found in the reversal instructions. You will destroy these parts on attempted removal, and be forced to improvise going forward. For over a THOUSAND dollars, this company would also think to include all parts that WILL require replacement and provide better instructions .......the instructions should read "don't do it". I would like to assign a zero rating, but you can't. But it is, otherwise, a decent outdoor fridge. To finish, don't attempt to reverse the door. This company is moronic for not pointing out the level of difficulty. Already, talked two neighbors into considering alternatives.

Being able to have a fridge as part of an outdoor kitchen or patio setup is such a cool concept, and a fridge like this is pretty much designed for exactly that (with a small exception, which I’ll get into). It’s designed to work indoors or outdoors and to keep your food and drinks ice cold, rain or shine, and the exterior of this fridge is of great quality and seems to put up with rain and heat without any trouble. The only reason I have trouble seeing this as an “outdoor fridge” is because Canadian winters are much much colder than this fridge is designed to handle, but you would have trouble figuring that out without contacting the company or doing research. You could always bring the fridge back inside during the winter, but I’m sure some people are going to buy this, keep it outdoors, and then have a nasty surprise when their fridge dies in the middle of January. However, that being said, I think most people in Canada are aware that you have to bring stuff in during winter… The pull out drawer design is super smooth and looks great, plus it can hold a ton of cans or bottles, anything from little soda pop bottles to full-sized wine bottles. I’ve never owned a fridge with this kind of design but I believe it when they say it holds more than a standard fridge. It keeps everything very cold and is very quiet, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. If you can afford it, this fridge is very useful indoors, and great for outdoors (just not in the winter).

AVOID AT ALL COST !!

I purchased this HCK fridge and the almost identical one with pull out doors. I installed them yesterday and they came down to 1*C very quickly. They seem to be of good quality and I liked the smooth-close feature on the fridge with the pull out doors. The boxes arrived safe and very securely packed after only a few days of waiting. I was able to make my selection after some very useful question and answer with the staff via the chat, although they were hard to get ahold of through the company website, they did answer quickly via the amazon chat method. Time will tell for how well these units do in the long run, but for new units, they are a good value. I am a real human, using these machines in a small brewery taproom.
