These aren't high-quality, many-use razors. They'll give you a good close shave for two, and you can get an adequate shave for about five more uses. This comes with shaving cream which seems to be a cocoanut/lanolin mixture. I couldn't detect any smell, and the stuff did not lather at all - it is indeed very much a shaving 'cream', not a soap or a foam. That said - it did an excellent job. You'll need about a couple of pea-sized blob to grease up your face, and some pretty hot water to rinse it out of the razor. All in all, this is a decent little razor for travel use. Don't think you'll be disappointed.
