Added SiriusXM to My Ram and It Looks Factory Installed
I recently purchased a 2021 Ram 2500 Tradesman that didn't come equipped with SiriusXM from the factory, and adding satellite radio was one of the first upgrades on my list. After researching my options, I decided on the SiriusXM Roady BT, and I'm extremely happy with the results. One of my biggest concerns was avoiding an installation that looked cheap or cluttered. I didn't want wires draped across the dashboard or plugged into a visible cigarette lighter socket screaming "aftermarket." I wanted something that looked as close to a factory installation as possible. Instead of using the included 12V Smart Power Adapter in a visible power outlet, I used an add-a-circuit fuse tap and a 12V cigarette lighter socket pigtail to create a hidden power source behind the dashboard. The installation was surprisingly straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic wiring or willing to spend a few minutes watching a YouTube tutorial. I tapped into the existing 12V outlet fuse, connected the pigtail, grounded it to a factory body ground behind the kick panel, and hid all of the wiring behind the interior trim panels. One thing worth mentioning is that the included Smart Power Adapter is much more than just a cigarette lighter plug. It actually contains the electronics that communicate with the Roady BT and stores important information used by the radio, including activation and identification functions. Because of this, you can't simply cut the plug off and hardwire the radio directly. The way the system is designed is actually pretty clever. The only cable that runs directly to the Roady BT head unit is the USB-C power/data cable. The satellite antenna cable, optional AUX cable, and the other end of the USB-C cable all connect to the Smart Power Adapter, which serves as the central hub for the system. By hiding the Smart Power Adapter behind the dashboard and powering it through a hidden socket connected to a fuse tap, I was able to keep the installation looking clean and factory-like while retaining all of the radio's functionality. For the antenna, I mounted it on the roof as recommended and routed the cable into the cab through the third brake light. On a truck, this is incredibly easy since the brake light is only held in place by two screws. From there, I tucked the antenna wire behind the headliner and continued routing it behind interior panels all the way down to the dash. After securing everything with zip ties, the installation looked incredibly clean with virtually no visible wiring anywhere. The end result is exactly what I was hoping for. I now have SiriusXM in my truck without sacrificing valuable dash or console space, and the setup looks about as factory as an aftermarket installation can. As for the Roady BT itself, it works flawlessly. I connected it through Bluetooth, and the audio quality is excellent—crystal clear with no noticeable loss in sound quality. It also offers AUX and FM transmitter options for vehicles without Bluetooth, making it very versatile. The display is bright, easy to read, and packed with useful features. Channel browsing is simple, and the overall user experience feels polished and well thought out. If you're considering adding SiriusXM to a vehicle that didn't come with it from the factory, don't let the included power adapter fool you into thinking you'll have wires everywhere. With a little planning and ingenuity, this unit can be installed very cleanly and discreetly while delivering outstanding performance. I'm attaching photos of my installation so others can see how clean and factory-like it can look. Overall, I'm extremely impressed and would absolutely recommend the Roady BT to anyone looking to add SiriusXM to their vehicle. Pros: – Excellent sound quality via Bluetooth – Multiple connection options (Bluetooth, AUX, FM) – Bright, easy-to-read display –Tons of SiriusXM features and channels – Can be installed very cleanly with hidden wiring with a little ingenuity – Great option for vehicles without factory SiriusXM Highly recommended! It gave my work truck the SiriusXM capability I wanted while maintaining a clean, factory-style appearance. If you're willing to spend a little extra time on the installation, you can achieve results that look surprisingly close to a factory-installed system.

Easy Install!
This SiriusXM Roady BT is an awesome addition to my vehicle! The sound quality is great, the setup was straightforward, and it gives access to so many channels for music, talk shows, sports, and more. One of my favorite features is the Bluetooth capability because it means one less cord to hide if needed, which makes the setup look much cleaner and less cluttered. The display is easy to read, the controls are simple to use, and it works reliably while driving. Definitely a great choice for anyone wanting satellite radio without a complicated installation!

compact, easy to install, good audio quality via bluetooth.
Easy to set up, already had an antenna routed through, I was using the SiriusXM Tour but the rough-riding vehicle it was in was causing frequent antenna connection issues with the dock, so decided to get the Roady instead and transfer the subscription. I've been using the Roady now for over a week and it's been solid. Using bluetooth connection between it and the factory radio (2023 Ram Promaster). Didn't try FM modulation as its typically not as good quality and the vehicle audio system doesn't have an AUX jack, so bluetooth was the only option. I read another review that it has connection issues with using bluetooth on a radio equipped with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto which could be a licensing issue, which the Promaster has both, and I use CarPlay wirelessly while also listening to the bluetooth stream from the Roady with no issues. Sometimes I get no audio but it's a bug in the vehicle audio system and not the roady. I also use it on a seperate battery (its a battery designed for dashcams to keep them powered up when the car is parked), that way it reconnects to bluetooth again with no issues and I can go back to previous songs on the preset channels I have. I make multiple stops along my work route and that power source allows uninterrupted recordings I can go back or skip forward on.

Works.. but
Took some time to get this working but after multiple updates it finally works. BUT, the bluetooth connection does not work with Android Auto/Car Play radios. (something to do with licensing) so having to use the AUX output. This is where the next round of issues started. Since the power/antenna/audio out are all part of the plug that goes in the cigarette lighter, it adds LOTS of engine noise to the sound. Ordered a ground isolator that plugs in line with the 3.5 mm jack and problem solved. But still a little upset that the bluetooth function does not work. Another very minor complaint is the layout of the screen. The album cover art for for songs is very small and lots of blank/wasted screen. Could be a nicer layout, but again that's very minor. It does work, and has good signal strength.

Works with 2022 Ram Promaster City stock Radio
I'm using this on a Company Vehicle 2022 Ram Promaster City van stock Radio which has no 1/8 audio connector, so I am using this Bluetooth one. I used a quarter size washer, applied double sided tape and stuck it at the front center bottom of the windshield. This allows the magnetic antenna end mount to not move about and is rock solid. I used double sided Velcro tape for the channel unit mounted and used locked car tape cable guides for routing. Sound is actually clearer (high fidelity) than the Stock Radio and has the perfect highest volume on the stock radio I am using. Bluetooth connection was pretty straight forward pairing it just fine. It does take about 1min every time at vehicle startup before the Radio recognized it can get paired automatically again. Only snag I encountered was occasional cracking sound infrequent at random times. I fixed that for the most part by adjusting the 1/8 connecter to the receiver to be solid at the right angle. It rarely crackles now. I don't lose reception except in weird areas in town I would lose Sirius signal anyway (IE airport deadspots). Highly recommend the SiriusXM Roady BT Vehicle Satellite Radio if at least one of your vehicles needs Bluetooth or you are not allowed to modify the vehicle to get an internal connection.

Great Radio
The SiriusXM Roady BT is easy to set up, delivers clear sound, and works seamlessly in the car. I love having all the channels right at my fingertips, and the one-year full-channel subscription for just $5 is a fantastic value. Perfect for road trips or daily commutes!

Bluetooth Connectivity Sucks Bigtime
I had an older radio playing through FM. Due to increasing interference, I wanted Bluetooth connection. Installation of the Roady BT was easy and even connecting was pretty straightforward. Satellite radio works very well in areas where the phone does not get reception. I get that a lot in flyover country. The reason I dinged this item is the Bluetooth connectivity. I have a 2014 Mercedes GLK that was not equipped with satellite radio. Every time I try to use the Roady BT, I have to pair the unit new to the car radio. While the car shows the Roady BT in the device list, the Roady DOES NOT show “MB Bluetooth” like my iPhone does. The iPhone connects without fail every time I turn on the car. The Roady shows “No Bluetooth Connection” and I have to go through the pair routine to connect. Once it’s paired, I can listen to the satellite channels without problems, until I turn off the car. When restarting the car, repeat the pairing routine. The iPhone reconnects again every time when Bluetooth is on. If I turn off the iPhone Bluetooth, the car is searching for other devices and does actually find the Roady and tries to connect. But because the Roady only connects to “Unidentified Device” instead of “MB Bluetooth” the handshake is incomplete and the car shows the external device as “turned off”. That Is a software problem in the Roady. I complained to SiriusXM and the answer I received was “Roady BT does not work with any 2014 Mercedes”. That is just hogwash. Bluetooth is an interface to connect devices with each other. If the handshake between the devices is accurately programmed, it will work! The programming in the Roady BT needs to be upgraded and can be downloaded like any other changes. Until they fix the pairing, the one star rating will remain from me. I returned my reply to SiriusXM, explaining the problem in detail, but to date have not heard anything back. About 4 weeks now. As an analyst/programmer/software designer/developer with 50 years of experience, I learned a little bit about these things! If the Roady BT does not work properly for my car, it may not work properly for your car either.

Buena Opción BT
El equipo es bueno para usar en autos que no tengan servicio de radio satelital. Requiere menos cableado que los anteriores receptores lo que lo hace menos invasivo.

How it is installed.
I should have checked closer. This one didn't match my other installations and had to change it.
