So far so good. I have a 16 year old PC and the plug and play still worked. The 16 year old monitor no longer worked so this monitor was inexpensive but it only comes with a HDMI cable so if your PC only uses A VGA cable you have to buy one.

I run multiple monitor setups across my office for different purposes — including writing, business operations, and video production. Not every machine needs a high-end display, and that’s exactly why I picked up this KOORUI 22” monitor. This one is dedicated strictly to my business correspondence system — email, documents, and general communication tasks — running off an Apple M1 Mini. For that purpose, I wanted something affordable, clean, and easy on the eyes for long sessions. This monitor fits that role very well. Text is sharp and easy to read, which is the most important factor for how I’m using it. It’s excellent for writing, reading, and basic graphic placement — but not for critical viewing of those graphics. Color is where you start to see the difference between this and higher-end monitors. It’s a bit washed out and lacks the vibrancy and precision you’ll get from more premium displays. Brightness is moderate, but in this case, that actually works in its favor — it’s very comfortable for extended use without eye fatigue. PROS: * Very affordable for what it delivers * Sharp, clean text — excellent for email and document work * Easy on the eyes for long sessions * Lightweight and simple setup * HDMI and legacy VGA connectivity * VESA compatible for flexible mounting LIMITATIONS: * Colors are somewhat muted — not ideal for photo or video work * Brightness is moderate, not high-impact * Lacks DisplayPort and USB-C connectivity REAL-WORLD USE: As a dedicated communication monitor, this is exactly what I wanted. It does its job without distraction and without the need for expensive features that wouldn’t add any value in this role. However, if your work involves photography, video editing, or anything requiring accurate color and high visual fidelity, this is NOT the monitor for that. BOTTOM LINE: For business use, writing, and communication-focused tasks, this is a strong performer at a very attractive price point. For color-critical work… look elsewhere. This earns a solid FOUR-STAR rating from me — and would have pushed into five stars with more modern connectivity options like DisplayPort or USB-C. Recommended for the right use case. Good monitor and nice size.

This monitor has two limitations: 1080p and 100Hz; if neither of these are limiters for your use, you'd be INSANE not to buy this. I bought 2 for a WFH office, but initially used them for a personal gaming laptop as I built a new gaming desktop. I ran them as 60Hz and was able to play GTAV, RDR2, etc, with no issues. The color is VERY rich, setup is easy, stand is solid (I saw at least one review claiming 'drooping', but that was not my experience with any I've bought: read on), and overall I liked them so much I've deployed 12 of them now - 2 for my WFH office, 2 for my son's computer (gaming), 2 individually for my lab, and 6 in a business setting for graphic design and engraving. Seriously, the quality for the price makes the top 5 all time for products I've bought. At $120, this is also an ideal monitor to have around for a spare - just keep an eye on the family, because one of the two spares I had grew legs when I wasn't looking, but I'm not brave enough to go into the boy's room to see if it was him...

I think the negative thing I can highlight is the pixel dentist isn’t that high so it doesn’t look as crisp but this is a great budget option when you are in a hurry (like me) or simply need a screen that does its job. I use it for home office and it’s more than enough.

There are entry level monitors. Instead of having the power on/off switch in the front like most monitors ,‘it’s in the back. This makes it difficult if you have a 2 monitor display in a cramped area. Also the power cords aren’t “flat”, so when you plug them into a power strip they take up 2 spaces. Also they are extremely light, so if your desk shakes for any reason they will move. They were on sale for $80/ea tho, I guess that’s good.

I have been using an old Sony 27” non-smart TV as third monitor for my workstation setup. I recently upgraded my CPU by purchasing a Minisforum NAB6 mini PC (highly recommended and better than buying a laptop and a hub to support all your devices), I figured it's time to buy a real monitor. Since I am on a budget, I scoured Amazon reviews for a good monitor and found this Koorui brand. Given the price point ($129.99 on Boxing Day 2023), I am impressed by this monitor. I am not a gamer nor a content creator, but I use this monitor for work applications, streaming, surfing, and some video/photo editing. I like the following: 1) I am satisfied with the brightness and colors of Koorui (rightmost monitor in the attached picture). The larger monitor on the left is 43-inch 4K LG monitor 60Hz with all its fancy features. Koorui held its own against a monitor about 6 times the price when it comes to video streaming. 2) I have been using this monitor for almost a month now and so far, have not encountered any problem at all – no flickering, no dead pixels, no problem with latency, and no dreaded blue screen. 3) Because of the plastic components, it is so lightweight it is almost like a toy, and I mean it in a good way. This means that when I travel and stay in a hotel, instead of bringing my laptop, I could just bring my Minisforum mini PC and Koorui. 4) With my current workstation requiring attention on 3 monitors, Koorui’s viewing angle is ideally suited to my work needs. Adjusting buttons was a pain in the beginning but I got the hang of it, if ever I do need to make re-adjustment, it’s now a piece of cake. The seller was also quick to respond to my inquiry. I thought the unit I purchased came with built-in speaker. The reviews are for different models so make sure the review you read applies to the right size and model of monitor that you are about to purchase. Sure, I can always return the unit to Amazon and have it replaced with the model with built-in speaker. I did not do so because I find it unfair to the seller and Amazon to return something based on the specs that I completely overlooked. Whether it’s for extra or main monitor use, given this price point against branded competitions, this 27-inch 75Hz IPS monitor is a real steal. You won’t regret the purchase – 5 stars.
