The game was brand new and works great. This seller delivers quality goods.
I liked how this seller had the game I was looking for and at a price I appreciate and it was new for an old PS2 game. The disk is in mint condition being new and no defects. Will try to find more items to buy from this seller as delivery was ahead of schedule for me and showed respect in delivery packaging for my purchase. Respect to this family owned business with respect to their customer base!

The people of Tekken does it again
I have always loved special edition video games and this game is no exception. This game is a spin off of the character "Nina" from the Tekken series of games. It is a challenge to play, but doable. It is not too hard, which makes it fun. I really love this game, but rate it a 4 because there are others I like a bit more.

Must make a part II !
Because I am a die hard Nina Williams fan, I am addicted to this game! I owned this since 2006 and play it till now. My disc broke a few years back and just had to get it again thanks to Amazon! It only shipped within 4 days vs 14+ like it said (I live in Hawaii). For those who are going to play it for the first time, just be aware of the bad camera angles and you use the left analog stick to move around the and the right stick to fight. This game is compared to Metal Gear Solid. Enjoy! ...

great game with flaws but 1 stars are anna fans lol (this game needs a remake)
first the negatives the controls are hard to getting used to, some characters are extremely annoying, fixed camera angles really make it hard to target an enemy thats directly in front of u so u cant really plain out your attacks swords and other melee weapons break as if it was made out of paper and u run out of ammo 2 second in after using your guns and u cant pick up ammo or refill ur ammo u just have to find another gun if its laying around from a defeated enemy also there's too much puzzles as far as the lock system and etc. u have to fight using analog stick adding more unnecessary difficulty than it already didnt needed the way things are setup especially since everything is analog stick the roll and dodge movement and kicks which is your only fighting moves she has are all the same ring analog stick and it doesnt always give u exact input for instance tap directly wit right analog stick will get your character to roll their are times she would just dash instead of roll just small things like that frustrated me. and i forgot to mention that their is a focus meter that allows u to do critical moves on a enemy but it runs out to quickly so i do agree with some saying how the game mechanics doesnt work and things in that nature and for some reason i dont like this voice actress bcuz she doesnt sound like all the previous nina williams voice actresses thats in tekken games but thats just nitpicking now my positives are that cgi cutscenes looks awesome namco always had the best looking games even for its time. great and interesting storyline and plot i love anna and nina additional attires designs honestly the negetives pretty much destroyed the potential had to offer bcuz of the way they did the game design and mechanics i brought this game bcuz im a huge nina fan in tekken games but this spinoff didnt give her justice at all

I can't believe how many people gave this 5 stars...
I consider myself a fan of tactical espionage. I've played through all of the PS Metal Gears (the games I consider to be the top in the genre) several times. I enjoyed Nina Williams' character in Tekken and the idea of a female lead. Ugh, I should have just avoided it. Not only are the controls poor (everything has to do with the right analog stick) but the camera changes from you being able to control it to not depending on where you are. To run you need to hold R2 but this also switches to an over-the-head view. As you enter a different section, the camera may switch back to fixed or visa versa. How are you supposed to be able to sneak up on people if you can't even control the character well? I already want to throw it away. Horrible, horrible game.

Two Stars
Unless you just enjoy looking at Nina, skip this entry in the Tekken spin-off.

Decent Game That Should Be Picked Up If You Love PS2
This is a good, but not great game. I do recommend picking it up in 2013. Its based on exploration and navigation of a gigantic cruise ship with the character Nina Williams. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. This could be a modern game with a few tweaks. The fighting system was meant to be easy, and it is playable. Doing complex moves with the analog controls is not very fun and thankfully combat is not the most important part of the game. There are enough weapons and items to make it interesting, like Katanas and hand guns. Picking items up from storage lockers, finding keys on dead guys, and grabbing access codes is more what the game is like. Its not quite creepy like a lot of PS2 games were, say haunting ground for example. Death by Degrees has a sleek and high tech look. The music and sound is way above average. This game is better than many action 3rd person games on the PS2, and better than Haunting Ground. If you are looking for Devil May Cry style fun, look elsewhere. This game is a bit on the slower paced side. If you liked original Resident Evil you will probably like this. I'd think of it as an RPG with some combat and lots of exploring. The game is just gorgeous. They did a good job. They probably could have made it more exciting, but if you want to explore a massive, luxury cruise ship, this is the only game I've ever played like it. There is some james bond style here and some good graphics. It is a playable game and I like it enough to keep playing for awhile.

Almost but not quite
This Tekken inspired spin-off of Nina Williams is smartly crafted with a combination of action hand2hand combat, special ops missions, & several Tenchu like bone breaking critical moves. Aside from the VERY annoying 180-degree camera shifting you get sometimes when stepping in between camera angles (you're pointing forward and suddenly you're shifting back to the previous angle), the seemingly forever loading time this game can take (it's graphics aren't that sharp), & the less than interesting game plot. Simply put, Namco is on to something but still few enhancements are needed and with minimal improvements this game can be MUCH MUCH more. That said, overall this game has a unique personality very well worthy to experience.

Mediocre game for when you haven't much else to play
Overall a mediocre game, but the relatively unique combat system and visually appealing player character make out with playing.
