these are perfect storage containers if you’re looking for something that seals very tightly the seal very tightly and they make my pantry look really good

I already have many of Rubbermaid's 'Brilliance Food Storage Containers' in my pantry and needed a few more which is why I ordered this set of 3 with scoops. Unfortunately, the containers I received where very cloudy and not "crystal clear" like my existing containers. As you can see in the photos, the container with the walnuts which I already own looks better than the brand new one one the left. It's not a huge deal but when you pay this much, you expect to get top quality. The seller couldn't replace the containers which was disappointing because the lids and the scoops were perfectly fine. I had to return the whole thing.

I hesitated buying pieces of the Brilliance pantry line due to the base material being changed by Rubbermaid from Tritan to Zylar. I really don’t like that this change was done that affected the larger containers in the pantry line. But I thought the design was great and Zylar is supposedly a safe material for food storage. Many complained that the 16 cup capacity size would not hold 5# of flour. That is totally false. I routinely empty a 5# bag of KAF flour into this size container with a couple inches of space to spare under the lid. I love the lid design. You can easily remove the lid by popping up the clasp on one side and pulling up. I find this convenient if I only have one free hand. I had originally wanted square storage containers but these are working out very well. Rubbermaid needs to correct descriptions all over the various websites, including their own, about the base material used in the Brilliance line which is dependent on the container size and line — there is Tritan, Zylar and glass. I own some of all three. All lids are made of Tritan. I recommend all.
