Good clock oil nice applicator

I purchased this Dutch Zaanse clock at Montgomery Wards in the early 1970s and it has worked well until about 10 years ago when it stopped working. About 5 or 6 years ago I tried to oil it with three in one oil from the backside but that did not work. about 2 years ago I tried to spray the back plate holes where the gears meet the frame with nonstick dry lubricant and that did not work. So after 10 years of this clock not running I had little hope of ever seeing a tick away the hours again. I found this oil on Amazon Sept 2026 and thought I would give it a try. This time I pulled the entire mechanism out of the clock and lubricated both sides where the small gear holes meet the mounting plate and after putting it back together it is now running again and I am thrilled. I wish I had tried this YEARS ago.

I use this on my antique Black Forest clock, brought it for an IdleTyme rolling ball clock at the Veterans’ Home, and got my mother one for her cuckoo clock. Very reliable. Comes with a long needle to reach in and get the inner gears without pulling anything apart. Needle can also help pull out debris in the gears while you’re at it. Doesn’t get sticky even after years of use in my antique clock.

Great oil for sure. Got my cuckoo clock up running again. Only issue….bottle was not full for $9. It was a little over 3/4 full. That’s why I give it 4 stars.

Perfect for clock lubrication

Had ordered the item to lubricate my Swiss Cuckoo clock mechanism by Regula. The item came very well packed inside a hard box. The bottle itself was sealed in an airtight plastic packet. There was no leakage. The nozzle dispenses oil in a controlled, small quantity as required for delicate watch parts. Long nozzle helps to reach all pivoting parts inside the clock. Very very small quantity is required for lubricating, should last as long as the clock mechanism!

Used on my wall clock and it runs perfect now.
