Our tints are made without bleach or chemical lighteners, so they won’t lighten your hair. Tints are designed to produce muted color to begin with, so we suggest starting with a blonde base or lighter.

What colors are best for darker hair?

We suggest using one of the shades in our Unicorn Hair Full Coverage Dye line if you have darker hair and don’t want to bleach or lighten it. See our swatch guide above for a visual.

How long does semi-permanent hair tint last?

Ideally, your color should last several weeks, but results may vary based on your hair health, how pigmented your dye is, how often you wash your hair, and your lifestyle and hair styling habits.

How much Unicorn Hair Tint will I need?

We suggest 1 jar for short, bob-length hair, 2-3 jars for hair reaching between the shoulders and waist, and at least 3 jars for hair that reaches beyond the tailbone.
