I want to use on the top of a not used outdoor paddle fan to stop the robins from building. Will they work

Probably would but if you don’t get the spikes on each blade centered exactly alike it will likely put your fan out of balance and make it wobble. No matter where you put the spikes make sure the surface is clean. I used brown window caulking to adhere mine to my gazebo.

do these work for bats?

After placing birds spikes along above my entry door and patio, birds continue to build nests, therefore probably will not work for bats.

Will these work on sparrows?

Yes, bird spikes can effectively prevent them from staying and nesting.

Will this keep bats away if installed in an entryway?

Bird spikes may have no effect, the bat will fly over.
