Love this mattress. It’s expensive but the peace of mind that comes with it was well worth it to me. It’s super breathable and comfy (I’ve laid on my son’s a few times over the years). It’s easy to clean if there are bed wetting accidents and it doesn’t really hold pee smell. Fits a standard crib and sheets. We got one for my son and when my daughter was born I knew she’d have one of these mattresses too. Worth the cost in my opinion. Super breathable.

The main thing I was trying to figure out as a first time parent was what is actually important in a crib mattress- Is organic the most important or breathable? I try to buy almost everything organic, but as it turns out, none of the organic mattresses are as breathable as Newton. And the risk of suffocation really freaks me out! So after learning that most “organic” mattresses are wrapped in non-breathable fabrics or even plastic, it was a bit of a no-brainer. And Newton is GreenGuard Gold certified so I know its materials are extra-safe. Newton is always ranked as the most breathable mattress, so obviously the first thing I did when I opened the package was shove my face in the mattress and try to breathe. And it’s amazing! You can literally breathe, unhindered, straight through the mattress. And then I unzipped it to really understand why it’s so different- it’s a bunch of air channels that make a fully breathable surface. And these noodle-fibers are made from the same thing as a yogurt cup--so if it’s good enough to eat out of, it’s definitely good enough for the inside of a mattress. Even though 99% of the reviews on Amazon were 5-star, I did see one or two older negative reviews talked about a plastic-y smell. I don’t know what they were talking about but ours didn’t have any smell at all. The other really cool thing about this mattress is that it is washable. Spit up, poop explosions, whatever- the cover zips off so you can just toss in the wash and the core you put in the tub or shower and just rinse it out. And you can also get an extra cover for midnight changes. So I’d highly recommend Newton--completely breathable and washable. Totally worth it!!

We have bought 4 of these Newton Baby Mattresses across 9 months as Grandparents. These are worth the quality that you pay for. You can tell the difference with these baby mattresses and lesser expensive ones. The sides of the mattress are “square” and do not bend or tapered. These fully fit your baby bed. Mainly are grandchildren sleep soundly on these. Heavy Duty, deluxe thickness, do not give or detoriate. These keep there shape. Excellent to maintain cleanliness for active baby and toddler.

This mattress is amazing! Very easy to clean and I believe it just be comfortable since my 4 month old started sleeping longer than two hour stretches once I switched to this.

This mattress is fully breathable leaving no worry or concern for your child’s wellbeing while they are asleep. We’ve ordered this product multiple times, one for each of our children, despite the steep price, because it is that quality of a product. The outside lining of the mattress is easily removed with a zipper and is machine washable. However, the inside of the mattress can be simply washed and cleaned with a hose or in the shower. It’s water proof and is best rinsed off in the bathtub if a bathroom accident occurs. We simply leave it out to air dry after it’s sprayed off and have never had a problem. Products that are necessary, quality made, and safe are worth the elevated price to me! This product is a nonnegotiable in our household and I hope it’ll be a staple for your family too! Lastly, if you purchase a transitional crib, one made to also be used as a toddler bed too, you’ll be able to use this mattress for years. The crib mattress is large enough to grow with the child and made to accommodate cribs style starter beds ranging all the way through the toddler years.
