Good health monitor
It is easy to set up and seems to be fairly accurate with its readings. The battery life is nowhere near 7 days if you have all of the monitoring on, at best 3 days!My only real disappointment is with the poor delivery from Amazon. The driver just threw the package over my 5 bar gate at the top of my garden. The package got wet from the rain and was there until we found it. I expect more from Amazon, as a prime customer.

Choose Garmin not Fitbit !
Brilliant..having been an avid Fitbit wear for years on end I changed to Garmin do much more for your moneyI do wonder if Fitbit had been measuring my steps correctlyIt was so do easy to fit in 14 thousand steps a day..with Garmin I'm struggling to measure 10 thousand

comfy but getting old tech
very comfortable tracker, battery lasts well, not always 7 days though. the display is minimalistic but I found it suitable for the purpose. it is a bit too expensive considering that is came out almost 5 years ago. the oxy meter only measures well if it's uncomfortably tight, but the herath rate is measureed well. stress levels have blank periods but they register most of the time. it did laggs some times unfortunately, I needed to restart it at least once weekly

Useless for Running
This is the first 'smartwatch' I've bought so didn't know what to expect. Having used it for 6 weeks I can now say it is absolutely useless for measuring your heart rate when running. It grossly overestemates the heart rate. For example, I have an old Nike chest heart rate monitor which tells me my my running heart rate is between 90 and 110bpm. The Vivosmart 5 says 130 to 150bpm. If that were true I'd be coughing up blood. In fact I'm not even breathing heavy. I think the device is picking up my cadence rhythm rather than heart rate. I've also compared it to a blood pressure monitor after a run. Again it was off by 40bpm!I've tried wearing the watch on the left and right arms, tight and loose. It still over estimates the heart rate. When walking or using the exercise bike the Vivosmart 5 works ok, the values match the chest band monitor (although one 4k walk had me down as walking faster than Roger Bannister's four minute mile! But sadly when running I have no idea what it's doing. How it measures your sleep quality is beyond me also. After a poor night's sleep it tells me my sleep score is 92. After a great sleep it gives me a score of 41 explaining my late night activity (running I hasten to add) impacted my sleep quality...Having had a triple heart bypass last year is my excuse for being somewhat over critical of it's poor performance when measure running heart rate. In Garmin's favour, the Connect app is a good motivator although at times it can increase your stress levels with some of its bugs.

Excellent when you want the information you need without being swamped with information you don't.
Better than vivosmart 4 and suits me down to the ground. Excellent product.

Sold without a USB-A compatible lead.
After checking with Rufus that the charging cable for this was USB-A the item arrived with a USB-C cable for one end and a bespoke Garmin adapter at the other. Returned.

Not great
Brand new, the batter on my device lasts no longer than 1.5 days, which is beyond disappointing considering the claimed life is 7 days. I have put it onto its most basic settings to try save the battery but still cannot make it to 2 days.I do not know if this is representative of all Vivosmart 5s but nonetheless it is disappointing from my perspective. The display is minimalist which I like, however, the screen itself is poor resolution and the touch screen is not great.Strap cannot be replaced which is not ideal since it is a fitness band and will likely receive rugged use.Besides that it does do exactly what it says it will do with regards to the health functions. It definitely over counts the number of steps but everything else seems relatively accurate. Will be trying it for a bit longer, but currently considering and returning it.

Great watch
Really great watch with limited functions, only needed time and steps so all other functions were a bonus so perfect for me. Charges quickly.

Vivosmart5 vs Vivosmart4

NEVER TRUST AMAZON - SMART WATCH TRICKERY
Most misleading advertising I have ever seen, this item charges a BIG premium for an "extra large" touch screen but is not noticeably and bigger than locally available Vivosmart 5 watches at a fraction of the price.
