This is a Mahle OX38D oil filter used on Mercedes vehicles. The other top two brands sold on Amazon are Mann-Filter PF 1050/1 N By-pass Oil Filter Insert Hengst W0133-1636239-HEN Engine Oil Filter Kit These are OEM type oil filters and better quality than you can get from a local auto parts store.

The best you can buy
I've tried 5 brands for my 2.5L Benz diesel and this is the absolute best one, plus it's made in Austria. All of the others, although I can't say from the outside , when tapping into them, had small, dried glue-like particles coming out. ALL , especially the French brand which was basically coming apart. Maybe they don't produce these anymore and they're old stock??? That isn't safe; it might block oil passages and defy the purpose of an oil filter.

Mit Steigrohr O-Ringen!
Klare Kaufempfehlung. Auch wenn ich sonst meine Filter eher bei einer Konkurrenzmarke kaufe bin ich für meinen w124 250d mit dem OM602 bewusst zu diesem Hersteller gewechselt, da dieser auch die beiden kleinen O-Ringe für das Steigrohr enthält.
