*First time product user* I bought this product after research to find the best rated self tanner and this was listed in the top 5. First, this product came in it's usual expected packaging with the seals for the containers intact. It went on easier than many other self tanners I've tried. It felt smooth and moisturizing. At first, it had a pleasant lotion smell, but after 6 hours or so, that typical self tanner smell crept in. However, it was NOT as strong as other products I've used. I showered, exfoliated, and dried off first. Applied lotion. Applied extra lotion to my feet and ankles so the color wouldn't grab in those areas. I waited 5-10 minutes, then applied the self tanner starting with my feet and working my way up. I did wear disposable gloves. I gave it several minutes to dry, stood in front of my fan before putting on my nightshirt. I'm happily surprised to say when I woke up, I had a very natural deep tan and best of all NO STREAKS. I also bought the self tanner specifically for the face and it also turned out looking like a real tan. It didn't look orange-y either. I can't stress enough to apply lots of good lotion to your feet and ankles. I would definitely buy this again.

This is a dual rating: Face Tanner/Dark & Body Tanner Ultra Dark. Firstly, I’m fair w/some freckles and red undertones. However I do get relatively tan if I abuse myself in the sun—I don’t! I would rate the face tanner as very good. It’s a nice golden brown color on my skin. Although, I did need two applications, back to back, to get the color I like. I live on the gulf coast/Beach so being darker year around doesn’t raise eyebrows. The face tanner does have a less DHA smell then others I have used. No streaking and fades naturally. Now, the ultra dark body tanner is spectacular. One application and I was tan...two applications (2nd day) and I was week on the beach brown. It’s a superb golden brown color. Pretty much matched my normal tan without the red undertones. Hands down the best and deepest color I’ve ever gotten from a self tanner. No streaking so far but I there were a few spots around my feet that got a bit too dark. This is an intense tanner so follow a good application routine. Also, it does have a tanner smell once it develops...I would not wear on a date, for example. I’m a guy, if that matters.

To start...I'm not an avid self tanner. Every product I've used over the years when I've gotten an itch to be a bit darker has left me either orange, too dark, or splotchy. I didn't go into this with high hopes at all, but it exceeded my expectations. I'm white. Like translucent white. With very red undertones...when I do tan in the sun it's looks more red than sunkissed brown. I did a small test patch on my leg the day before to make sure it wasn't going to be bright orange on my face, and seeing how dark it got on that spot overnight I opted to take a day and stay home so I could wash it off if it was getting too dark. The cream itself is very smooth and moisturizing...great for my dry skin. It did burn a bit at first but no red skin irritations. The color was good for me, it is definitely a bit 'warm', not a true brown, more like when I tan in the sun naturally. If you have cool undertones, I can see where it may look more orange than it did on me. Be warned though...this stuff STINKS. Smells great for about ten minutes...after that, pure DHA smell. Don't expect to leave the house if you do it during the day, it smells like burnt underarm hair. Other than that, didn't rub off on white pillows, not splotchy, and there's quite a lot in that little tube. Expect if I keep it up it would last probably a month, month and a half.

Best I've ever used. I was somewhat skeptical that this was the best. I found it recommended by a website on sunless tanning. I'd been using sunless tanning products for years and I had a brand that I thought was pretty good. But I wanted something without a tint. Then I got an invitation to an upscale pool party about a week away. I knew that the women would have great tans. The guys would be mixed. So, I pulled the trigger and ordered the product. Well, it IS the best I've ever used. The tan is significantly better. Two applications a couple of days apart gave me a very deep tan. I also got the face tanner, and it is excellent. One application gave me an excellent face tan. The product dries quickly, which is a bonus. So, now I'm ready for the high end party and I have the best product for the future. A few of tips. First, I wear Nitrile gloves to apply the product. Second, I transfer the product to a pump action bottle. I got two pump-action Dial hand soap dispensers for a dollar each, dumped the soap and inserted the body tanner in one and the face tanner in the other. That allows me to get just enough body tanner with just one pump with one hand. Third, for the face I put one pump into a small bowl. Then I spread part of the cream into a thin film on the side of the bowl. Then I use just one or two fingers to apply a thin film to my face. This allows me to apply the cream to my face in very small amounts each time, so I don't get dark spots from cream buildup. Also, feel free to push the product well up into your hair line. The product will not color your hair. Just one pump gives enough product to do two or three applications for the face. I wish that I could do a half a pump, but I can't, and end up using the excess on my legs. So, even though the face tanner container is only two and a half ounces (I think), it will last a long time.

This facial tanner definitely delivers on natural-looking color without any of the dreaded orange tones, and I was thrilled that the scent was super mild! However, as someone with 50+ skin, it unfortunately darkened my age spots and minor imperfections right along with the rest of my face, which wasn't very flattering. The color lasted about four days before fading fairly quickly. While I love the natural shade and subtle scent, the price feels a bit high given how it accentuates dark spots. I might give it another shot using spot-treatment tricks, but I'm on the fence about repurchasing it.

I’m of Norwegian descent, very pale. I originally bought the light facial tan, but the scent was too strong and it didn’t provide much color. This one is perfect. It has a much lighter scent and you can choose how dark you want to go by frequency of application. The most important thing about Tanceuticals, though, is the tone of the tan. Very natural looking, no orange. In my opinion, this is the best tanning product on the market. I’m very careful about exposure to the sun because skin cancer runs in both sides of my family. With Tanceuticals I get a nice tan without the danger.

I’ve been through countless self tanners ranging from really cheap to ridiculously expensive. Once I came across Tanceuricals the journey for the perfect self tanner came to a close. Color is flawless, smell is vibrant with not a hint of dha (THANK GOD) and the tan lasts for almost a full week. I’m a guy and I do a lot of physical movements for work so it’s nice that it does withstand through how sweaty I get. I wouldn’t call this product a lotion. It’s a bit runnier than a lotion BUT I think that’s to the benefit of the streak free result of this tanner. Because of how runny it is, you don’t miss any spots on your body when applying. All in all it’s a fantastic product and worth every penny.

I am super surprised how nice this smells! I use St. Tropez bronzing mouse classic on my body and I love it but I was looking for something for my face and just found this and I used it last night and today my face was a beautiful color. I love it even more because it smells so good like coconut none of that nasty tanner smell like ST. Tropez, I think I might try this in the body stuff since the smell is so nice and my color is a nice color not orange at all. Update: I bought the body tanner in extra dark, here is a photo of before and after one application, the body tanner does have a slight smell with coconut scent but nothing compared to other self tanners. It works great also, I use a mitt to apply. I will purchase again.

I have used this product for over two years now & am very pleased with the results. Leaves a very natural tan.
