No brainer- buy this now
I've previously used Squirt which is a wax based drip lube. Worked well but didn't like the gunk it left on the drive train. This does exactly what it says, quieter cleaner drive train. Used inside and out. In use little bits of white come off, nothing else and can easily be brushed off. More details of my 1st attempt at waxing; -deep cleaned chain -melted wax in slow cooker. I used half the bag in a 5l slow cooker on high, this took about 1hr -swished chain around with slow cooker off. Instructions say 5 mins but I found too much wax dripping off, I waited 15 mins. This seemed to be about right, a nice drip of wax solidified almost instantly -waited to cool, about 2hrs -flexed each link over the slow cooker, bits of wax fell of back into the cooker. I did this by hand, I've seen that you can do by running over a tube, might try next time -installed back on bike. Took about 10mins to riding to get it smooth Not had to reapply yet. Process seemed intimidating to begin with but with patience was easy. Feels very pro on bike. Would definitely recommend, and for the price is worth trying. Works out about half the price of the previous lube I was using

A Revolutionary Chain Lubricant – I’ll Never Go Back!
This is the first chain lubricant that truly lives up to its advertising. Compared to traditional drip-on chain lubes, it’s like comparing chalk and cheese! I’ll never use a drip-on lube again—melted/hot chain wax lubricants are superior in every way. After using this for over two years, here are just a few of the advantages I’ve experienced: No more black, gritty paste that grinds down the chain and drivetrain components. Old wax is effortlessly removed with hot water—no more messy degreasing! Exceptional durability: I’ve ridden over 2,000 miles using two chains (rotating every 200–300 miles), and there’s no measurable wear. Cost-effective: One bag of wax lasts far longer than those small drip-on bottles. Zero wastage when applying the molten wax. This wax is a total game-changer. It keeps my drivetrain spotless, drastically reduces wear, and makes maintenance so much easier. I only wish I had switched to this method sooner. Highly recommend!

Good stuff
Good stuff. Used before and makes a difference. Wouldd be five stars if it lasted on the bike a little longer

Waxed bike chains are amazing and the Enigma Wax is excellent 👍
I bought the little 1.8L 4x dial heat-settings CrockPot for <£15 so I could wax my bike chains. I use about 300-400g of the 'Enigma Ultimate Chain Wax Blax Addition', which takes around 80-90 minutes on High setting to fully melt (wish it was a bit quicker, to be honest) I then insert 2x Pre-cleaned (White Spirit & Meths) bike chains. I leave for around 15 minutes for the chains to get up to temp, agitate the chains a lot inside the pot, then turn off the heat. After 5-10 mins when the wax has cooled I pull out the chains and let them drip down into the pot. I get 300-400 Km (in dry weather) from a chain before it starts to 'rattle' (meaning the wax has gone). I then apply Squirt Drip Wax before every long ride (around 100 Km). I quickly wipe down the chain with a cloth after every ride. After several rides (1000-1500 Km) I remove the chain, clean it with hot water (and sometimes a little more solvent)... Then repeat the Hot Wax dip. Both my current Shimano 105 11S chains are over 5000Km and still showing little wear (around 0.50). The same with all the other components (Chainrings, Jockey Wheels, etc) with the being cleaner and showing less wear! My bike runs quieter, and there's probably some power savings (but who's strong enough to actually notice that!). The greatest benefit is how much easier bike cleaning and maintenance is, with no oilly messy chain #lovely. I've just switched my Weekday bike chain over, so we'll see how that goes with shorter daily rides. If you have the time and inclination, I HIGHLY recommend chain waxing, and the Enigma Wax is does the job for me (at almost half the cost of other brands!)

Best decision you'll ever make
Great wax at a great price. For those on the fence about waxing your chain - just do it. Your bike stays clean all the time, your clothes stay clean all the time, your hands stay clean all the time and your drivetrain stays clean all the time. Plus the longevity of your drivetrain is massive, a big plus if your running SRAM Eagle. Helps if you buy two new chains as it makes life easier, if you want a faster way to heat up wax get a small instapot and put it on rice setting for 5 mins then switch to slow cook, otherwise a small Crockpot will suffice 10mins Vs 60mins to heat, although the low setting on the Crockpot will maintain 80°C forever - set and forget. Overall the best improvement I've ever made to a bike lifestyle wise and financially. Peace

Half the price of Silca and its basically the same exact product
I have now used this on my roadie and gravel bike.. 4 chains, swap and use new one then once all 4 are used up redo the waxing on all 4.. overall happy with product, so far very little wear on the chains if you follow the directions. Any top ups i use SQUIRT lube to keep chaings going additional few hundred KMs if needed one dislaimer is that if you ride in the wet, one waxing would almost instantly wear off, going through puddles and mud is very quickly removes all the wax, so on my gravel bike i had to basically wipe chain quickly after a ride and reapply squirt to keep it from rusting.. So does not last as long and not as great as maybe wet lube in the UK wintertime (Off road more so than road). Dry / warm days this is perfect, used it on holiday in Majorca and didint even need to bring lube for the 400km i had done that week. Recommended!

Good while it lasts.
I was excited to try this out as it seemed like it was very suited to my application, I made sure I fully degreased my chain using a good degreaser abd an ultrasonic cleaner. I followed the instructions being sure to use a temperature probe to make sure I was getting it right. All went well and I was happy with the results. The chain felt nice while riding and gear changes were smooth. After about a week I was out riding and got caught in a heavy downpour, after an hour of rain and puddles I found that when I got home most of the chain wax had come off and the next day started seeing rust spots on the chain. So I went through the whole process again of cleaning the chain and re waxing, again lasted a little over 2 weeks in moderate uk conditions but again has started to come off. I'm not sure if I'm applying it wrong or whether it's not suitable for the conditions I'm riding but maybe others will get better results.

Works well, but you have to know how to PROPERLY clean a chain
As with any hot melt wax, the key to it lasting well is PROPER chain cleaning. Reading some of the other reviews on here, I can't help but think they went in with a chain that wasn't spotless. I've done a chain with light usage and previous wet lube, and a brand new chain and both of them took at least 10 white spirit baths, where I agitated for several minutes, then let soak before they were coming out and leaving no residue when wiped on a cloth. This is the litmus test - you can't just go "3 washes, done", you have to keep going with the washes until when you wipe the chain nothing comes off, and it makes a metallic sound when moving around. I also do a quick bath in a STRONG degreaser before cleaning off with water and then the final Alcohol bath and drying. On to the wax itself, I've now got 250km on the one chain and it's still holding up well. No rust (despite the odd small rain showers during rides, and a good deep clean of the bike with soap and softened water).

I'm a waxer now
Keeps chain clean and quiet. Won't go back to 'oils'

Ottima cera
Rispetto alla concorrenza più pubblicizzata (Silca) ha le stesse caratteristiche e costa 20€ meno. Stessa modalità d'uso, molto facile e veloce, la catena risulta ben cerata e rende il cambio più veloce, silenzioso. Consiglio vivamente

Just buy it
If you're thinking about waxing your chains, buy this and the cheapest slow cooker you can find on Amazon PRONTO. You will save money on: 1. Not having to re-lube chains constantly. All in I'm under $50 for this and a slow cooker 2. Nearly 0 drivetrain wear. This stuff does not attract dirt like most drip on lubricants, and will not turn into effectively a grinding paste like traditional oil based lubricants do after a VERY short time. This stuff is cheap, keeps my chain running smooth for countless miles both on and off road - and even smells kinda nice while heating!
