Gold BJJ Pacific Short - No-Gi Jiu Jitsu Fight Shorts

These are definitely not just another pair of black, no gi shorts. They exceed expectations in every way. And not just as shorts for BJJ, these shorts were great for just training, in general. - The fit was perfect as specified on the size chart. I fluctuate between a 36 and 38 so I got the xxl and they fit really nicely. Not too baggy or tight anywhere. - They were extremely light-weight and comfortable. Rolling and training in these shorts was really pleasing. The 4 way stretch allowed for a full range of motion without any tugging, and the shorter length really ensured my knees never got caught in the legs of the shorts (which happens to me as a shorter, stockier person) As usual, GoldBJJ knocks it out of the park with this new gear!

The Gold BJJ Pacific Shorts are such a great addition to their nogi collection. The shortened length and the cut on the sides allow full mobility and never getting caught up on your opponent, and pays proper homage to Gold's home base of San Diego, CA. I actually love that the length comes right above the knee, showing a little thigh but they're not short-shorts. I'll definitely be wearing these to the beach when summer comes around. You can tell by the high quality of the material that these shorts are very durable and will last the test of time. My favorite part about these shorts that I noticed is how slippery you are on the mats (hence the subject title)! The material seems to glide on the mats at our gym. I'm much more mobile on my back, sliding into inverted positions with ease. Out of all of my nogi shorts, these are 100% my favorite.

I'm 6'3, 210 lbs. athletic build. Purchased XL. Normally wear L in regular sports shorts / shirts but I've come to understand that you size up in Jiu-Jitsu gear. These shorts fit great. A few inches above the knee, and the drawstring waist (interior drawstring) makes for a secure hold. Fabric's light. I have purchased Hayabusa in the past and enjoy the fit of these much more. Large would have fit waist wise I am sure but they would've been too tight around my ass and thighs so I recommend you go with one size larger than your normal shorts / jeans wear. Rolled in them twice already and they don't seem any worse for the wear - and both days were takedown practice so you know I did some mat sliding...

I would give this product five stars if the thread just held up. They fit great, stretch properly, material seems very durable. Very comfortable shorts. But after about 20 BJJ sessions the threading started to come apart on the inseam.

These are great shorts. They don’t ride up your thighs in guard. They aren’t so short you look like you should be running a race instead of grappling. Best part is the lack of logo “flare”. You can wear them to do anything without looking like you want everyone to know you train.

I had trouble finding BJJ no-gi shorts because they tend to be so baggy. I don't think that bagginess is necessary for range of movement but just gets in the way. These are very light and comfortable. They are not restrictive when rolling. I have more of a runners build, so your mileage may vary. They've lasted for a few no-gi sessions so far, with no issues. I will probably get another pair. They run small, so you should consider getting a size up.

BEST SHORTS EVER!! Alright here’s a no B.S. review about these shorts, the short story is they’re awesome and you should buy some. I’ve been wearing these for a couple months now and they have become my favorite pair of shorts for rolling/training, working-out, and just chilling. Construction: the material is great has some stretch, is extremely breathable, and the stitching looks good (no pulled threads yet). Also the drawstring is solid. Nice and thick with metal grommets protecting the entry point into the short. There is also some elastic in the waistband too which is nice. Fit: I’m 5’7 155ish and the mediums fit perfect. They fall just above the knee and aren’t to tight or loose. For the price these shorts are a steal! Thanks Gold!!
