Why are some very long in length and others very short?

Always note the name and description of item. If it says cardigan it's usually short. If the description states, duster, or beach wear cover-up it usually will be longer. You have to be very aware of wording, pictures and description whenever ordering on-line. It can be a bit tricky.

I’m 5’2 and wear a size L in shirts and a size C cup in bras what size kimono should i order?

I’m about the same size except a medium with d cup. I ordered a medium and it is plenty loose. In the back it goes way past my butt.

No petites. But I’m 5’2” & 108# and this is the first one I’ve found that I can wear. It’s a little longer than shown in the pic but I get lots of compliments on it.

It’s nylon, basically

It’s nylon, basically. The colour and print are nice, as is the shape. I probably didn’t read it properly but I thought it would be a light cotton/muslin/cheesecloth sort of fabric. It’s not even a drapey polyester; it’s a slick nylon fabric with no give in any direction really. More like a lingerie cover up than a daytime cover up. I’m elderly so don’t wear sleeveless in the heat and hoped this would be an answer to cover up the bits I’d like to be covered up. I’ll use it occasionally, but don’t like it very much. I’ll be continuing to look for a soft cotton based fabric in a similar style.

Colour not as expected

This picture shows a blue background but it is actually MAUVE. Pretty though. Finishing off on the sewing wasn't good, I'll be adjusting the hemming.

Love love love! So cute and breezy!

This is so cute! it is absolutley perfect for a summer coverup. it is light and airy keeping me covered but cool even during this heatwave. The fabric is more smooth than soft if that makes sense. I think this has a pretty universal fit. I am a size S/M and it looks adorable. I love how easy it is to pair with anything. It was pretty creased when It came so I opened it up and let it air out for a few days. This got rid of most of the creases and I didnt detect any odor. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful and light weight

I love this coverup. It is so lightweight. The coloring was beautiful and bright. It is very sheer (which didn’t bug me at all). It was so perfect to cover up my arms and tummy area while giving a great 4th of July vibe. I recorded many compliments. My 12 year liked mine so much she order a much smaller one on black for summer lounging. Will buy a few more for sure.
