Can the light be turned off?

I just learned that if you tap and hold the lightbulb icon it turns off all the lights, including the indicator lights. I’ve had this for months and didn’t know that. It’s a game changer.

Question 2

How much square footage will this cover is a good for a big bedroom a small bedroom house ?

It says 86 sq feet, but since almost no one has a room that tiny, it does just fine with a 10x12 room, such as what I have myself. I think it’s all relative. Just run the purifier on the highest setting (3 for the fan) for say an hour, and then lower it down to 2. It might take a little longer to get desired results but no question it works fine in a average sized bedroom

I live in Bay area near the Wildfire outbreaks...Will this be able to filter wildfire smoke particulates?

It will remove smoke particles caused by a wildfire but you have to realize that it is only rated for 86 sq ft, which is smaller than the average bedroom size of 10'x10'. So placing this in your living room and expecting it to make your air "safer" would be a false assumption. Same for putting it in your cubicle at your office, the rest of the office is too big for it to help, you would be better off just wearing a mask. It really only makes sense to use this product in a small, closed bedroom or office. Any space larger / not enclosed is more of a placebo effect.  I would suggest spending a little more on LEVOITs LV-PUR131 that is rated up to 322 sq ft.  You really need to move a larger volume of air for these filters to be effective.

Question 4

It says to replace filter every 6 mo.  What has your experience been? Less?  Maintanence monthly?

I have to replace my filter every 30 days. The filter costs between $29.95 and $35.95. Quite an expense. I always look for the 15% off from Levoit and purchase two when that happens or purchase two when Amazon goes down to $29.95. This is the only Levoit air filter I have that has to have their air filter changed so often. I have two other different Levoit air purifiers who only require air filter changes every 8-10 months. They are located in the same house in the same types of bedrooms.
