does the plant come back every year?

My experience is that there is no f I wn time like fall or winter if it is used as a house plant. I have never planted them outside to endure winters freeze. I have had then on a glassed in sun porch where the Temps dipped very cool and did not affect them

Are these safe to plant outside in zone 6 without the winter’s cold killing the bulbs?

I am not sure about surviving winter Temps. Know they are ok all year inside or protected.
