These are better than expected. I bought for an inexpensive way to make some plastic storage crate lids have a tighter seal; turns out I needed them for one of my doors, too. The quality of the foam is far better than what I found at the local home center, and the adhesive is good, stays in place well. I am glad I didn’t need to reposition; this stuff is sticky. It’s a smaller cell, better quality dense foam, much nicer than the cheap, loose celled, easily worn away stuff at HD. A tight foam where you can’t see the cells, can’t deform them quite as easily. Worked really well on my storage crates, and on the residual gap at my back door. I’d buy again.

This weather stripping worked really well for sealing gaps around my door. The adhesive is strong and sticks securely, and it was easy to cut and apply. It made a noticeable difference in blocking drafts and improving insulation. The foam feels durable and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Great value for the price, definitely recommend!

These are easy to apply and do a decent job of sound dampening and airflow restriction. However they make it difficult to open and close the doors and in the areas with most friction they come loose. It really comes down to how you install them. Takes a bit of time looking at the gaps and filling them where needed. You might look at thinner or thicker foam for different segments of the door. Even with the downside of it being difficult to open the door, now I don't have any light bleed or air flow through the side cracks and it definitely helped with sound dampening too. For its price I think it's worth it. Plenty sticky. the color is fine. The main factor is how you install it and the variation of width particular to your door. It is not going to be perfect and if you are not willing to live with that this product might not be for you. For me it did wonders for sound dampening and light exclusion.

I actually ended up using this along the heel strap on some sandals that were cutting into my skin and it worked amazingly. Not the intended use, but if you end up with extra lying around, may be worth a try to improve comfort on some old shoes!

Bad adhesive

used this to fill a gap at the bottom of a screendoor. . Here in MN any crack or draft through a door or window can wreak havoc on the indoor environment. Drafts become more biting more quickly in -22F weather. . Any strip of protection could help save $ on the heating bill. . I put a strip across the bottom of the door and a strip across the threshold. I got the 1/8th thick roll which works well, it's not gonna make ppl trip but it does nearly close the gap. . The adhesive feels good too. A few scrapes of a shoe across it and some snow and it is holding up well. Honestly for the price I wouldn't care if I had to replace the strip every season. But it'll probably last a handful. . Satisfied with the product. Will probably buy from the same company when I insulate my A/C window unit next summer.

I applied the 1/8 in thick 1 inch wide strip all the way around a metal door frame so there was no visible gap when looking at the door from inside or outside between door and frame (except not on the floor- using a foam draft stopper there). It was easy to apply. I cut it into segments of varying lengths to make it fit as needed and also that is easier than trying to attach very long strips precisely. The longest segments were about 25”. A few times during application I had to reposition and I had no problem doing that. Despite repositioning and being on metal the adhesive is holding just fine. I pressed on it firmly several times along the full length of each piece after applying. I think that compressed it a bit because right after it didn’t at first seem to make a difference reducing noise. I think that over about 48 hrs the neoprene expanded back to thickness because it was at that time I did suddenly notice the damping effect had become much, much more significant. I was initially disappointed the day I installed but then was surprised later on that it was working suddenly far better. This is preventing sounds of tv, music, and conversation from emerging around the door of my unit into the hall of my building. Our walls here are thick acoustic damping concrete and prevent noise going into the next door unit exceptionally well. The doors to hallway are another story. Everyone uses an under door draft guard but the combo of one of those with this foam is superior. Opening and closing the door is not affected, so the thickness was right for me.I did measure carefully before ordering.

Craftsman by trade . Using it for glass bedding. Sticks very well and peels easily . Recommend .

Offers good resistance when under compression but still malleable. Used between rafters and solid polycarbonate sheets for my lean to pergola. Keeps the rain noise down well, acting both as sound muffling and cushioning for potentially brittle sheets in storms. Not weatherproof but perfect under the cover of the roof itself. Can imagine dozens of uses. A really nice product with a strong adhesive backing.
