Based on the reviews, two factors influenced me to buy this model; the changeable heads for the different spray effects, and the switch to vary the pump speed. The shipment arrived in good order, all the parts were included, and the instruction pamphlet was legible and easily understandable. There is only one downtick I might mention. The inserts that create the different spray patterns are made of a translucent plastic and stamped with the letter of the alphabet corresponding to the spray patterns illustrated on the instruction sheet. The stamped letters are extremely difficult to see. Each time I determined which piece was which, I used a permanent marker and wrote the letter on the piece. I kept the flow issues from other reviews in mind and turned the pump speed select from MAX to MIN. I had installed the pattern pieces E and I for the pattern of four individual spouts in a fan pattern. While putting the spray heads on, the solar cells were toward the sun and I could feel the pump immediately start to hum. The fountain started to pump immediately. The initial fan spray was contained and fell back into the birdbath. After about three minutes the pump sort of hiccupped and caught a good prime at which point the spray flow increased to the height where the water fell outside the bath or else was caught in the strong spring breeze and blew outside the catch zone. I changed to sprayer J and it seemed to contain the spray at first, but the pump output increased and settled into a flow rate that went high and fell outside the catch zone. It doesn't show well in the first photo but the spray extends to the top of the picture border. In the second picture, the spray reaches as high as the road in the background. I estimate the spray height to be 24". In summary, it performs admirably and as promised. It just outperforms the capacity of our 20" diameter birdbath! I bought two of these, so I am going to experiment with putting a flow restrictor in one of the sprayers...and then shop for a larger birdbath!

LOVE this little solar fountain! I've had several from different suppliers & this one has a great solar power source, worked right out of the box & while it does slow down some in the shade, it still keeps working. Very easy to assemble, the moveable arms keep it centered in the bowl & all the different nozzle options are great to find the one you like best. It does pump strongly when in full sun, so you may have to fill bird bath bowl daily, but that's better for the birds & bees to have fresh water anyway. Should be simple to clean, has a small sponge-type filter inside the pump which is easily accessible. Now just curious to see how long it lasts, as my last one worked for nearly three full seasons (May to Oct). Overall, very please with this purchase! It works really well and has a very high spray. If you don't have a fairly large birdbath, the water sprays outside of the basin. I thought the instructions for the nozzles were a little confusing. The main reason I gave it 4 stars is that I didn't get the longer, clear tube piece shown in the videos. Otherwise very happy with this fountain!

If you've used this type of solar fountain in your bird bath you know the frustration of the cheap quality & style straws that were supposed to hold the solar float in place. They also quickly succumbed to dry rotting (it's solar and in the sun) and breaking do it's poor and cheap design. and resulting in loss of water going outside of the bird bath. FINALLY & AT LAST...someone has put some thought in the design and production of a strong and sturdy stabilization that holds the solar float in place. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I picked up this solar fountain pump for my backyard and overall it works really well and looks beautiful when it gets going in direct sunlight. The pump starts up quickly once the solar panel gets enough light and the water flow is impressively strong for such a compact little device. There are varying levels of water flow depending on which nozzle head you attach — some of them shoot the water up quite high and create a really impressive fountain display, while others give a much gentler and more subtle effect. The picture I attached in my review shows it running on a smaller fountain height setting, so just know it can go much more dramatic than that if you want. The small flow control knob is also a really handy addition, giving you fine tuned control over the water pressure to get exactly the look you are after. However one thing that genuinely caught me off guard is that it does not come with the long pipe style attachment that is clearly shown in the product photos — I was looking forward to using that particular nozzle style and it was nowhere to be found in the box. Even more confusing is that the included manual does not list it anywhere in the parts included section, so it seems like it was never meant to be included at all despite being featured in the listing images. The pump itself performs well and is good value for the price, but just be aware that what you see in the photos may not fully match what you receive! Updating my review to 1 star. It stopped working after 10 days of operation.

The AISITIN 3.5W Solar Fountain Pump does what it claims and for the most part, does it well. The extendable arms do a very good job of keeping the fountain centered in the bird bath. I do have a few issues with the fountain. First, the solar feature does work well, but ONLY when in direct sunlight. On even slightly overcast days, there is not enough enough sunlight to fully power the pump (if at all). Second, I find that for a medium size bird bath, the spray (and mist created) dramatically increases the rate of evaporation and cause the water to be completely gone in less than 3 hours. My bird bath holds about 3 gallons of water. Constantly refilling the bath (which I typically do just once per day) has become a chore. If you are using this in a larger pond or a very large bird bath, this rate of evaporation may not be an issue for you. The setup of the unit is simple and straight forward and the variety of spray nozzles can give you the effect you want. I deducted 2 Stars for the low sensitivity of the solar panels (not working well or at all in muted sunlight) and the water loss in a medium size bird bath. I posted a video showing the weak stream of water on a slightly overcast afternoon and a photo showing the sky at that time. 3 Stars and I cannot recommend this item for use in a small to medium bird bath. NOTE: this does not have a battery nor an On/Off switch. So it comes on when the sun shines and shuts off when there is no (direct) sunlight. If you are going to be gone for a few days, I recommend you remove it from your water feature. I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases. I read reviews too, and appreciate how helpful they can be. Absolutely love this fountain!!! Just got it today, so can speak for how it holds up longevity wise, but straight out of the box it’s wonderful!! Tried all the different fountain tops, which all offer thrilling and pleasant streams of various types and soothing running water sounds subtle and lovely. This is my first solar fountain and after playing around with it, I realize that it would be good to have one that either has a solar panel extension and or a battery pack option for when it’s in the shade/night time use. Works great in the sun with a vigorous fountain steam and in partial sun or shade offers a toned down fountain stream as lovely as the full sun streams. I’m obsessed with this fountain and can’t wait to get a few more to set up around the house. Def recommend, but know that it won’t work in the full shade and or at night, if you want a fountain that runs in shade or at night, be sure to look into a solar fountain that has a battery option for night use and or a storage bank, or an option for an extension solar panel. Love this one regardless though. Very happy with it and would recommend.

I have had this for several weeks and it is working just fine. The extendable brackets are a must if you buy something like this to keep the unit centered. It is easy to use. On the back is a couple of different power levels for the pump and then you just put in the water and select the nozzle. NOTE: if you have any wind the water will blow out of the fountain as the water rises into the air. You will have to refill often unless you pick something with a low spray or use no nozzle at all. I like the unit so much I am ordering a 2nd one for another bird bath.
